Madeline looked to be somewhere in her mid- fifties. She had her hair in a neat bun and there were many wrinkles noticeable from her face. She had blue eyes and a very stern face.

" Young Master, I think we should tell this girl to go," she said, eying me.

"Madeline, my name is Jaylin, not "Young Master" and this girl is named Silya Emerson," he said with a slight smile.

Madeline looked at him for a very long moment and then sighed. "You are soaking wet, Jaylin, and so is Silya."

"Yeah! Today, Silya taught me how to dance in the rain! Rain is the drops of water that fall outside when the sky is grey!" I could see the grin that Madeline had on her face for a second.

Then she went back to her stern look and said, "The Headmaster and his mistress would not approve of this, Jaylin. We need to get you dried and clean," then she glanced over at me, "I'll make sure that she is clean as well before she takes her leave."

I nodded at her slightly and looked over at Jaylin, who nodded at me, like he was saying, "Don't worry, she's a lot nicer than she appears to be."

"Come with me, Silya," she said in a demanding way.

I got up silently from Jaylin's bedside and walked over to her, only looking down at the ground.

"I will call for Garrett to get you clean and put in your bed. You need to limit your movement to avoid possible injuries, like the one in the past." Madeline pushed me forward with a little force and opened the door. She had set an umbrella near the door when she had first came in and now she picked it up and opened it up. I walked out of that door, and followed her quietly into the entrance of the big mansion.

"So, Miss, Emerson," Madeline said as she grabbed some towels from the closet, "I was wondering what your relationship with the Young Master was." She walked over to the bathroom chair where I was seated in. "You seem to be quite an interesting lady."

She took a seat next to me and noticed that I had been looking at my surroundings.

"This mansion has been around for several generations. I have been working for the Hennery family for twelve years. I have been given orders to look after Master Jaylin since his accident with a car when he was younger. The Master has always been a quiet person, and all that he knows is the things that I teach him. I have very limited knowledge, but his parents still entrust me to him."

I looked at her, not knowing if I should say anything or not. I wasn't even sure why I was here, talking to the maid casually. Why was it that he was locked up in that place? How many days went by for him where time slowly passed by and he just laid there in that room, lost in his thoughts? Did he ever have any friends; some sort of group that he belonged to?

 Madeline continued on:

"The Young Master had grown up normally with a father and mother. He even has a younger baby sister, who has no idea of his existence yet. She's 13 at the moment. The parents inherited a lot of money from both sides of the family and this mansion was the Headmaster's house before he got married to his mistress. The house is quite a grand one, one with 22 bedrooms, a beautiful rose garden, a fountain in the front, a ballroom, a dining hall and 3 privet studies. Many of the guests that come here are families with high social standings in today's 21st Century. Young Master Jaylin is expected to exceed standers high above all others. He cannot be bothered with childish and troublesome distractions that will cause him to stray from the path he is on. I hope you can come to understand that Miss Emerson." She didn't sound like she care about anything else but getting the point across to me.
