Chapter 5

I walked quietly down the path to my front door, my hand tightly wrapped in Beau’s. I couldn’t help but be cautious; I’m scared of falling for him. I took a deep breath and smiled at Beau as we stood in front of my house. 

“What’s wrong?” He asked with genuine concern in his voice. 

“Nothing.” I said quickly, blushing a stray strand of hair from my face. He looked down at me, placing his hand on my left cheek. 

“You’re a shit liar, you know that?” He laughed. 

“I really like you Beau.” I told him truthfully. He smiled, his other hand still in mine. “The last time I started liking someone they hurt me…”

“And you’re scared I’ll hurt you?” He asked. I nodded slightly, the hurt in his eyes was apparent. I looked down to the floor, I felt bad for what I had said. Beau’s hand fell to my chin, lifting it up for me to looking into his shining green orbs. “I would never hurt you.” He said, his tone slightly serious. 

He leant in, pecking at my lips softly before only drawing back slightly; I could feel the warmth of his breath on my nose as he inhaled and exhaled. “I promise. You don’t deserve that.” He whispered, placing his hands around my waist and pulling my body closer to his.

‘He’s cute.” I heard my Mum’s voice utter as I walked through the door still slightly flustered. I jumped slightly. 

“Mum you gave me a fright!” I exclaimed, sliding my shoes off. “He is isn’t he?” I laughed slightly. 

“Let’s hope he’s not like the last one Kal?” She said, her voice sceptical to say the least.

“Mum he’s nothing like him.” I said, my voice slightly edgy. 

I raced upstairs, my mum’s words still echoing my ears. No, Beau wasn’t like him…was he? 

I fell onto my bed, picking up my laptop from the floor and opening YouTube. I suppose it was about time I had a look at the Janoskians.  I clicked on the first link, ‘Awkward train situations’.  The first thing I saw was Beau and he began to introduce them. I noticed Luke in the background, except he didn’t have his lip ring; he stood next to his twin brother who I knew to be Jai but hadn’t met him yet. He introduced James and I presumed the other guy in the video was Daniel. 

I sat in my bed in hysterics, clutching onto my stomach. I couldn’t believe the confidence they must have to go and sing and bark on a public train. I picked up my phone, small giggles still escaping my lips. 

*1 new message – Beau*

‘I really had a good time tonight and don’t forget what I said- I meant it :) xx’

I tapped a reply in my phone, a smile on my face:

‘Me too:) and dw I won’t! im sat here watching your videos on youtube haha so funny xx’

Almost in an instance there was a reply:

‘Haha I’m glad you like them lol :) the boys and me r having a party tomorrow night if you wanna come over – 8 maybe? Xx’

‘Sounds good :) x’

I fell back onto my bed and smiled to myself. Maybe things were really starting to fall in place for me?

I tucked my blouse into my shorts before quickly adding a final layer of mascara to my lashes. I felt ready enough but I was nervous – but why? Maybe because I was going to finally meet Beau’s friends and I was going to see Luke again… why would seeing Luke again make me nervous though?
