Chapter 25: Nightmares

Once they finally got to the facility, it was dark out.

"I don't have anywhere to stay." Bucky said rubbing the back of his neck. Tony offered a guest room and Bucky thanked him.

"Can I take a guest room, too? After everything that's been happening, I just want to get to the bottom of this." Wade asked.

"You can either sleep on the couch in Bucky's guest room or go to the floor on top of Bucky's for another guest room." Tony said and Wade gave him a small smile.

Tony refused to go to yours and his shared bedroom. Instead he decided to try and figure out who would do this to him, Loki, Wade, & Bucky.

He couldn't face you, especially when he found out you might not even end up with him. You won't get to marry him, or have kids with him.

You were going to be with Wade Wilson. He scoffed at the thought and tried to distract himself.

He tried to focus on the photos and what they all mean. Why was Peter's writing on it? Why where they the four chosen ones?! He had a lot of questions left unanswered.

"Tony?" You asked peeking your head through the empty doorway. Tony looked up quickly hid the photos away.

"Yeah?" He asked and looked back at his computer.

"Let's get to sleep." You said and he reluctantly nodded.

How could he say no to you?

You intertwined your hand with his and he felt his heart warm up at the feeling. You lead him to bed and he stripped down to his boxers.

He cuddled closer to you and hugged you. And of course, like almost every night, he had a nightmare.

Tony was sitting somewhere. He heard loud clapping and noticed he was as well. He heard loud music that sounded familiar. He then saw you in a beautiful white gown.

You were walking towards your groom. Wade Wilson.

Tony's jaw dropped, Wade didn't have his regular burnt skin. He had a head full of light brown hair and a scruff on his chin. He was wearing a dark blue tux and was staring at you.

Wade's brown eyes found yours, he smiled as tears came down his cheeks.

Tony ignored it and tried to squeeze his eyes shut.

The image changed.

Now it was with Peter, Wade, You and another kid taking a photo. Peter looked older, about 25.

He wrote on the back of the photo.

"Wade and Y/N's Wedding,"

Tony didn't need to finish reading to realize what this meant. Wade smirked and looked directly at Tony. Tony felt his blood run cold at the evil stare Wade was sending him.

Wade mouthed one word as he placed an arm around you,

With that Tony sprang awake. He looked around in a panic. Why did that scare him so much?! He didn't know why he jumped at the sight of Wade.

Was it the fact Wade looked so evil, or that he couldn't have you?

Tony looked at the ceiling and tried to regain his breathing. He felt you move next to him. Tony cuddled closer to you and laid his head against your stomach.

This time his breathing slowed as he listened to your steady breathing. He was afraid to close his eyes again.

What would he see this time?

Peter being angry with him?! Wade taking you away from him forever? You dying?

He didn't want to go back to sleep. He didn't. But he closed his eyes once more, and for the first time, Tony had a peaceful 6 hour sleep.

(Dude usually sleeps for 3 hours. PFFFT)
