I can't stay. My alibi will be ruined..

"What's going on?" I say standing in front of him.

He gives me an annoyed look  "What are you talking about? Get me a bandaid or something!.."

Oh. I don't have to go far. It's important to have gauze on hand in my kind of work.

I hand him the bandage. He looks irritated.

"Why do you even have a knife?" He struggles to unravel.

Rolling my eyes, I kneel down and take over.

"You never know when you come to a strangers house" I wipe his wound with a wet nap. Barely a scratch.

"You do this a lot?"

That better not be an insult.

Rage comes over his face "Did you think I was going to.. You came on to me!"

True. "So why didn't you?" I ask.

"Because.. Men can say no to, okay" He crinkles his nose and hesitates to stand.

"I mean.. why were you crying?" I think I already know the answer, but I need to be sure.

"If you don't tell me, I'll go back to the bar and tell Malorie what happened" I get up and offer my hand.

"Jesus" He pulls himself up "Okay, you've got me. I'm not into girls.."

Well that was clear. I look around his room. Brown and green books and shelving. A few pictures and monotone clothing. I wonder how long he's been hiding this. Not that you have to be feminine to be gay, just a hunch.

Does this mean Eva was lying? And this has been a whole waste of time?

"I need to tell you something" but I shouldn't "Eva sent me"

"I don't understand"

"She wanted me to prove that you.. assaulted her.." To put it lightly.

"That's crazy. You're nuts" Whoa there.

"Do you have any idea why she would say this?" I exhale frustratingly. If she lied, I don't know what I'm going to do.

"We were going out for a little bit. Malorie wanted me to join her on a double date. She stopped hanging out with us when I asked to just be friends.."

"Okay, I have to go.. Really sorry.." His leg was bleeding more than I thought.

"Were you going to kill me?.."

The room shrunk 10 times it's size.
