~Austin's POV~
I was just watching anime when there was a knock at the door.
I opened it and there she stood, her brown hair with red streaks everywhere, her brown eyes as red as a slapped cheek.
She looked a mess.
I knew exactly what had happened.
He'd dumped her AGAIN.
I don't know why she keeps going back to him. I'm so much better for her but she just doesn't see me that way.
At least I think she doesn't, she's always so hung up on him, I never got round to admitting how I feel.
I can't exactly do it now can I?
~Merindas POV~
He invited me in, Austin is the bestest friend you could ask for. He's there for me every time I go through this and he never complains. He looks after me and we spend so much time together, when I'm not with dickhead (ps dickhead is my now ex again he's called Ty)
He makes me smile and laugh even when I think I'll never smile again. He's everything a boy should be, heck! Everything a boyfriend could be... why oh why can't I fall for Austin it would be much simpler?

He brought out all the breakup gear, he always has some in because it's happened so many times before.
He puts on my favourite film to cry over (The fault in our stars).
He just holds me. He's perfect.
He knows what to do. He's done it many times. Why doesn't he hate me for going back to him?

He releases his grip of you.
"Wait did I say that out loud?"
"Yeh, and I don't hate you because I could never hate you"
"Why though, I keep putting myself through it knowing full well it will end in tears but you always help me every time."
"That's what's you do for the girl you lov...like, like a mate"
"What were you gonna say? We're you going to say love?"
"No I said for the girl you like, like a mate"
"No you wasn't"
"Yeh I was" you could hear annoyance son his voice.
"Okayy..." you trailed off.
You fixed you me eyes on the telly but in your peripheral you could see Austin open his mouth to say something and close it again.
You continue watching fault in our stars. Crying at it.
~Austin's POV~
Look at her she's beautiful.
"She's so cute when she cries"
She turned and looked at me with raised eyebrows.
Shit. I said it out loud.
"I was on about Hazel"
"Liar."
"If fact yeh, I was lying, I was on about you. Don't get me wrong I don't like you crying especially over that dick. But you wanna know why I'm never mad at you. It's because you mean to much to me. I care about you so much. I would never treat you like he does. I would treat you like the princess you are because.. because... I LOVE YOU"
~Merindas POV~
"I LOVE YOU" he screams as if he's been holding it in forever.
I look at him intently in the eyes, never breaking eye contact for a second.
I like him as a mate, don't I?
He's good looking yeh course, he makes me laugh and I couldn't imagine life without him, that doesn't mean anything, does it?
Before you could stop yourself you found your self saying "I love you too"
He widen his eyes and connected his lips with yours.
It felt right
