what could be happening for all these nurses and doctors to be running out at a time like this?
Its been 2 hours and still, the ward is in a frenzy. From overhearing a couple nurses on break it seems as though someone had locked themselves in a room and tried to commit suicide. "Poor person"i whisper

The boys fell asleep after half an hour of waiting, they look cute all huddled up together resting their heads on their shoulders. Alex was snorring while the others were quiet.

Thinking back to when we first came in and that man stepped out of the elevator, chills still shriveled down my spine.

Why was he here?
What was he doing?
Was it him?

Maybe he was in an accident so he was having a check up or something, he wouldn't know cody was here, would he?

After a couple more hours the ward quickened down. Instead of waking the boys up, i got up and walked towards cody's room.

I was only about 2 doors down when a lady in her 30's stopped me.
"Hi, im sasha, are you a friend of Codys?"

Smiling, i say yes before asking her whats up.

"A few hours ago a man came in"- she spoke as i began to worry - " he went in and spoke to Cody for a bit - not that he's wake yet...sorry, um well"- getting frustrated with Sasha i huff "get to the point woman"

"Sorry well, i was wondering if you knew who the male was because after he left, cody was in a right state,  wires were taken out, hed had a heart attack as well as stab wounds and head wounds- he also left a note"

My heart sunk. i bolted past the 2 rooms and came face to face with codys door. Police were investigating, taking photos, writing documents down as well as taking finger print swabs.

I forced myself in "IS HE OK, WHATS HIS PULSE?IS HE BREATHING"  i started to hyperventilate.

"Excuse me miss you will need to step out of the room immediately"
I didnt listen and grabbed codys hand

"Cody wake up😭😭, cody please"i cried
I dropped to the floor holding his hands.
A pair of hands wrapped around me and i began to freak out, shaking to get out of their grasp.

"I KNOW WHO DID IT" i yelled

Everyone stopped.

"Sorry, ill have to remember his name, but i have photos i swear, just let me be with him"i plead

"How do we know your telling the truth?" A police officer asked

I look around the room.  Faces scan me while i scan theirs. Faces mixed of confusion, fright, interested and some doubtful look at me. I understand why... i mean why would the trust me.  I take a deep breath.

"Look. You cant trust me. But why would i lie? Cody is like a brother  to me. I want revenge and if you guys don't fulfill my wishes to arrest the basterd who did this to him...then i will" i explain

"Five minutes and your out and we want answers got it " the officer demanded.

I nod.

As the officers leave, i take a seat next to cody. Holding his wired, needled hand i grasp it carefully.
Scars from events covered his pale hands, a few blood splotches here and there. "Cody...if you can hear me, fight, you can do this... please.... i need you", tears drip from my eyes. How could someone do this to cody, my cody. I will find him, the one who hurt my brother and anyone who tries to stop me will suffer i swear on my mothers life.

"Times up hun"a nurse wearing a pair of denim jeans and a blue shirt with her name Jasmine written across her badge, spoke softly.

I nod, getting up and wiping my tears.

"Ill be back cody", i promiss kissing his delicate hands before heading out the door
