I place my hand on my mouth as I take in my surroundings. This can seriously not be happening!
Brandon walks in with some more boxes, I turn to face him. "I should help you. Sorry, let me help you."
He laughs, "No, go. Look around the house. I've got these boxes." I blush, "You sure?" He nods.
I make my to one of the closed doors. I open the first door, inside there is a huge shower, a washing machine and bathtub. Next to the bathtub, is a mirror, basin and some drawers. Next to that, there is a toilet.
The second door is an empty room, with nothing inside it. I make a mental note that this will be my bedroom.
The third door is also empty, I'm not quite sure what this room could be. I turn around and see that there is a huge kitchen.
Infront of the kitchen is a huge open space which would obviously be the living room.
I walk through the sliding door and I gasp when I see a huge pool with crystal blue water.
In the far corner there is a hammock and there is a huge patch of green grass.
I am so caught up in my own thoughts that I practically jump when I hear Brandon laugh.
"You like this?" I turn around, "I love this! Thank you so much!" He laughs, "I'm glad." I run my hand through my hair, "We should probably start unpacking." He nods.
I walk inside and he glances at me, "Have you decided which room you'd take as a bedroom?" I nod.
He smiles and nods, "I've got one more suprise for you." My eyes widen, "Brandon, you're kidding. I don't need anything more this is more than enough for me."
He blushes, "I swear you'd love this one. You could possibly need it. Besides, it's part of the deal."
I furrow my eyebrows, "Okay what is it?" He hands me a blindfold. I try protesting but he ignores me, so I place it on my eyes.
He grabs my hand and leads me someplace. I can definitely tell that we're outside now as I feel the crisp fresh air rush over my skin.
We come to a hault. He smiles, "Remove your blindfold." I do and I almost wet my pants as the new white BMW is standing infront of me.
"You bought me a car?!" He laughs, "Yes. Happy house warming gift." I laugh, "Brandon, oh my gosh. Thank you. I'm speechless."
He places two hands on my shoulders. He mumbles, "No matter what happens, this will remain yours."
I turn around and stare at him, "Thank you." He nods, "Let's go and unpack." I nod.
We untape all of the boxes.
Brandon answers his phone, "Okay cool. Can you please bring this here? Great, thanks."He plops himself next to me, "Barry is on his way with your tv, tables, chairs your couch and your bed." I smile and nod.
We sort through the boxes and I've started washing, drying and putting the plates, crockery and glasses away in cupboards.
Brandon is currently sorting through some of my boxes.
Once I've finished the kitchen I make my way to the living room where Brandon is currently looking through something.
I plop down beside him, "What you looking throug?" He closes the book and hands it to me.
My breath hitches in my throat as I completely forgot about this book.
-
Gwen smirked at me. I furrowed my eyebrows, "What?" She handed me something.I smile as I read the cover: My High School Yearbook. She chuckled, "All our memories are in here." I smiled, "Yeah."
She hugged me, "I bet you ten years from now we'd be looking through this with our kids."
-
I repeatedly trace my fingers across the cover. I say softly, "Gwen gave this to me." He nods, "Oh, it's a really beautiful book."
I nod, "She told me I bet ten years from now we'd be looking through this with our kids." He remained silent.
A tear falls down my cheek, "I doubt that day would happen." Brandon stared at me, "Why not?" I shook my head as multiple tears trailed down my cheeks.
"Back in senior year she fell pregnant with Thomas's baby. She knew I still had some strong feelings for Thomas but we broke up. So yeah they went behind my back, and when he found out that she was expecting he ended whatever they had. I found out by Justin that she was expecting as she leaned on him as a crutch as she obviously couldn't come to me. I guess I was so hurt, and I was a huge idiot. So I spread the news about her expecting and her parents found out, by me. They forced her to,.." I sighed, "Give up the baby. Which she did. That's how we lost our friendship, over lies, betrayal, jealously and pettiness."
