-A Year Later-

I told Sarah the news and she was as shocked as Brandon.

Shortly after that, she decided to take me on as her co-worker. So we design together and I have accomplished my dreams of becoming a fashion designer.

The other wise decision that I've made is to go to therapy. I must admit, I have been feeling a lot better. Been sleeping a lot better.

Brandon and I are still together, going strong. In fact, tonight I'm attending his family gathering. There's been an important announcement being made and we're uncertain as to what it is.

I sigh, "Well I best be off as I need to prepare for tonight." Sarah chuckled, "All the best love. The Campbell family is a tough crowd." I frown, "You do not put me at ease with that comment."

She shrugged, "Love you." I roll my eyes, "Love you too."

-Later-

Brandon and I are currently on our way to his family's house.

As soon as we arrive, Brandon exhales shakily. "Whatever they announce, I'll survive. We can do this."

I give his hand a squeeze, "I'll be right beside you." He nods and kisses my cheek before we walking inside.

Brandon sees his mom and embraces her and she laughs. "Ah it's so good to see you son."

He kisses her cheek and pulls away and glances in my direction. His mother cocks her head to the side, "Why hello, I'm Abby. Brandon's mother."

I smile, "Nice to meet you, I'm Savannah Brian. Brandon's girlfriend." His mother looks taken back. "He never mentioned a girlfriend."

Before I could say something we all turn around as a new voice echoes through the room.

"Hey, do you rememeber me?" Brandon is staring speechlessly.

I'm assuming this tall male with the British accent is his brother. The male walks closer, "Oh come on Brandon. You can't stay mad at your older brother."

Brandon frowned, "Does that mean he's here?" Abby sighs, "Brandon please." He shakes his head as he storms out of the room and into the kitchen.

I hear a male voice, "Brandon, son! So good to see you." Brandon scoffs, "Don't son me."

We all walk into the kitchen. His father glances at me, "A female? Your girlfriend son?" His brother who only seems to notice me now smiles.

"So sorry, I'm Callum. I did not even see you there." I smile and shake his hand, "Savannah."

His father walks towards me and shakes my hand. "Joshua, Brandon's father." I smile and nod.

Abby smiles sympathetically, "So, if you haven't guessed it yet. You father and I have decided to get back together"

Brandon almost chokes on his own saliva. "You're what?" They nod, "Suprise!"

He glances at Callum, "You knew?" He nods. "This is great news Brandon! Why aren't you beaming with excitement."

He rolls his eyes, "Cause I'm the last one to know. Besides you two are practically strangers to mom and I. I mean, you never reached out or even contacted me or mom."

Abby folds her arms, "Well you never mentioned a girlfriend to us." Brandon glanced at me, "Leave Savannah out of this. She's been nothing but loyal to me. She's been there for me more than you guys have."

Joshua clears his throat, "How do you two even know each other." I croak, "We met in High School."

Callum's eyes widened, "Savannah Brian?" My eyes jump up to meet his gaze, "Yes." He runs his hand through his hair. "You were his bully. I rememeber you and Gwen. You two were always at my football games."

Brandon rolled his eyes while his parents started muttering curse words. I sigh, "That was in the past. But I've changed."

Joshua scoffed, "Yeah, right." Brandon glances at his father, "I beg your pardon?"

Abby rolls her eyes, "He's so wealthy now. I can understand why you want to be with him. You surely don't love him for who he is. I know girls like you."

I furrow my eyebrows, "You're accusing me of being with him because of his money. That's absurd, I love your son. With all my heart."

Callum shook his head, "Save it Savannah." Brandon glared at them, "Leave her alone. She's done nothing but tolerate this family's shenanigans. She's not who she was back then."

With that said, he grabbed my hand and stormed out of the house.

On our way home I mumble, "Well that was the shortest family gathering that I've ever been too." He shakes his head, "I'm really sorry about them."

I shake my head, "No don't be. I completely understand."

He sighs and glances at me, "You know I'm really lucky and fortunate to have you in my life. I love and appreciate you so much and all you've done for me in my life. I want to spend my life with you. Marry me Savannah Brian?"

I smile, "Yes." With that said he slips on the ring and kisses me.
