Chapter One- Partners

I sat down at my lunch table, with Ana and Corey, my two best friends. I glanced over at Kloey sitting on Devin's lap and rolled my eyes.

"Looking at your crush?" Corey teased.

"I don't like him anymore. I got over him when Rita started dating him. There was no chance I was ever gonna be able to go out with him anyways," I glared at Corey.

"Right," Ana said.

"Whatever guys." I rolled my eyes. "You guys are my best friends, yet you don't believe me."

"That's because we are your best friends!" Corey laughed at me.

"I hate you guys!" I said.

"We love you too." Ana said.

"Why am I friends with you guys?"

"Because you love us, Adria." Corey said.

"No I hate you... Mainly you Corey!" I laughed at my friends.

"Aww." He said.

"Adria, you make no sense, if you hated us you wouldn't be our best friend." Ana said, being smart, as usual.

"Fine, use logic, but lets go find out our lab partners." I said. We all went our own ways to our lockers. "Meet you guys in chem."

When I got into chemistry, there was a note on the white board, that read 'Stand around the perimeter of the classroom, you will be put right next to your lab partner in the beginning of class when I get back.' "I hope I don't get stuck with any of the popular kids!" I said.

"Same! If I get stuck with any of them, I'm gonna die." Ana said.

"Okay! Everyone, be quiet!" The chemistry teacher said. "I'm Mr.Shue, please call me by my name. I will give you your seats, which will be right next to your lab partner, the first project does start today, which will be a presentation about your partner. But I will get into to that later. So now for seats." Mr.Shue said, pronounced like the word shoe. "Corey E. and Alex N." he tapped the desks when he said their names. "Ana N. and James C." he went through almost the whole class. The only people left were Devin, Jake, Kloey and Me. I hoped to get Jake as he was my kinda friend. "Kloey B. and Jake Z." I slumped and looked at the floor. "Last, but not least, Adira M. and Devin K." He pronounced my name like Ad-er-a. I raised my hand. "Yes?"

"My name is pronounced A-dree-a." I said as I sat down next to Devin, someone who I had no wish to speak to.

"Okay, sorry. So for the presentation, you have to find out the following things about your partner. Corey, will you hand these out? Read these and make a google presentation, and send it to me."

When Corey got over to me, he whispered in my ear. "K-i-s-s-i-n-g..." He laughed at me.

"Shut up." I slapped his arm.
