Ana's POV
I was at the carnival when I got a text from Devin
*in text*
Devin: I see you, look up and towards the hot dog stand.
*out of text*I looked up and saw Devin he waved at me and began to walk over to me. "Hey Ana. Where is Adria?" Devin asked me.
"She's not here yet. Why don't you text her and invite her to come here." I said. He looked down at his phone and tapped the screen.
"She said she and Corey will be here in an hour, what do you want to do to kill time?"
"Wanna get some food?" The thought of Corey meeting us at the carnival made the butterflies in my stomach awaken.
"Sure!" Dev and I had some hamburgers, fries and milkshakes. I didn't think he was a great guy, but he seems really nice. I never had a good chance to get to know him before this. "Adria texted me and said that they are here. At the ferris wheel, the where the line begins. Guess that will be the first ride."
When we got over there, Adria and Devin kissed each other. Awkwardly, I looked at Corey, remembering what had happened the last time we were with each other. "Is it fine that Devin and I go together and you two go together?" Adria asked.
"Sure." Corey said. Me being shorter than him, I looked up at him, his eyes met mine. I blushed and looked back down at my feet.
"Your car." said the carnival guy said, opening the door to the ferris wheel car. It was the kind that was completely closed off. I sat across from Corey then the door shut and we moved a bit.
"Hi." Corey said. I looked up at him then gave him a small friendly smile. "We can't just never talk about what happened between us." He tried to put his hand on my knee to comfort me, but I yanked it away and sat it up both of my legs on the bench seat.
"Nothing happened." I said quietly, looking up to meet his eyes. His face looked pained.
"That was nothing to you?" He asked. I could tell I had hurt him. "That kiss of sparks and magic was nothing?" I noticed tears had formed in his eyes, but he blinked them away. "Well it was everything to me. Ana, you can't pretend that was nothing to you, because I know it was something. Your beautiful eyes say it all."
"Well it was just, just nothing." I lied. The ferris wheel jolted to a stop, we were stuck. I pulled out my phone and texted Adria.
*in text*
Ana: R we stuck?Adria: Yea
Ana: Noooooo
Adria: What?
Ana: U'll find out soon enough
*out of text*I switched my phone off and put it in my pocket. "Stuck." I said.
"Good. We need to talk about this Ana."
"About what? The fact that I have had a stupid tiny crush on you, ever since you became friends with Adria and I, and it won't stop growing and that it will probably never stop. You never noticed me, you only noticed Adria. When we kissed I felt the sparks to, I just don't want to say it out loud because I know it will end, I know it will disappear." I snapped, the tears sinking in.
"Ana I di-"
"I know you didn't know. No one did. Corey, I don't want you to disappear." I stood up and moved to sit next to him. "Stay, please." I looked at him. He kissed me. Sparks flew everywhere. That's when the ride decided to start again, so I fell over on top of him. We laughed then sat up. "Does Adria need to know right now?" I asked.
"Doesn't matter. If I have you, I'm fine." He smiled at me and the car door opened.
"Sorry about the minor halt. I hope everything went fine."
"Everything was perfect." I said. I grabbed Corey's hand and pulled him next to me. I looked up at him and met his eyes. "Perfect!" I said.
