"You cheater!" I said jokingly, pushing Corey off the couch. Not expecting it, he fell off the couch.

"Hey!! That hurt." He pouted.

"Boo hoo." I said back.

BEEP! My phone went off.

"Corey, Ana and Devin want to know if you want to go to the carnival at school tonight." I said, reading the exact text.

"Devin's going?" His voice was very high pitched. I nodded. "Sure..." He sounded unamused.

"You're driving me there, and I got to change first." I said, bolting up the stairs, getting used to walking again.

"When are we going?" He yelled from the basement.

"In an hour." I yelled back.

When I got in my room, I pulled out three different outfits. The first outfit was a maroon off the shoulder top, a pair of dark blue jeans, and black wedges. The second outfit was a white shirt with black stripes, black leggings, and long tan boots. The third outfit was a grey sweater shirt, with ripped black jeans, and tan hiking boots. I sat them on my bed when Corey came in and sat down on the head of my bed.

"I vote this one." He said pointing at the grey sweater.

"Thanks Corey." I smiled at him and grabbed the outfit in my hands. "Be right back." I said before rushing towards the bathroom. When I got in the bathroom, I put the outfit on and grabbed my make-up bag and trudged back to my room and sat at my vanity.

"You look nice, you don't need any make-up, Addi." He smiled at me then looked down at his phone.

"Thanks Corey." I put my make-up bag down and picked up my hair brush and a ponytale. I brushed out my hair while Corey began to speak.

"Why do you like Devin?  He asked.

I continued to brush out my hair then began to french braid it. "Why do you not like him?" I looked at him as I pulled the pony tale over the end of the braid.

"Because I am like your big brother and Devin is your boyfriend, I'm really protective of you, I don't want you to get hurt Addi." His voice was soft.

"You don't have to worry about anything." I smiled at him. "Let's go to the carnival."
