Fire Emblem Awakening Drabbles!

idea, yay

Just a random idea involving a flute, and so I have something to write...

I'm so sorry...I couldn't do the covers today (made yesterday, September 23rd(?), my voice is sore....like I could barely talk...again, I'm super duper sorry! It feels better after humming to a bit of Fire emblem music (actually a whole bunch), so it should be out by Tuesday. (Today :3)

So, here's the idea...:

"Damned brigands..." Chrom muttered under his breath, sheathing Falchion to his side. "Frederick, Lissa, prepare for battle...this could be a tough one," Chrom commanded.

"Yes, M'lord." Frederick pulled out his lance, and immediately blocked Lissa from the brigands, defending her. She was only a cleric, after all.

Chrom slashed at a mage, dealing quite some damage- but he wasn't dead yet. The mage released magic from his tome, weakening Chrom.

Suddenly, a high pitched sound came from behind them, catching the whole battlefield's attention.

"What the-!"

The woman's eyes were closed, and she held a flute within her hands.
Smiling, she swiftly put the flute to her side, outwards, revealing a sword.

"What kind of sorcery is that?!!" Frederick questioned, paying attention to her, and the battlefield.

She pointed her sword to a brigand, sprinting toward him, slicing him in half.

"I'm afraid I am not here to talk about me; I came here to help. My name is Hikari." She then pulled out a tome, releasing magic from it aswell. A soldier fell, and Hikari finished it off by stabbing him.

"Wow...! Hikari, that's..."

"Now is not the time for praises, M'lady," Hikari stated politely. "Now, we need to focus on the battle."

Lissa quietly nodded, still shocked at her skills. Chrom found himself staring at her- how did she turn her flute into a sword? And Frederick didn't pay any heed to her.

Hikari swiftly went to the brigand leader, having no trouble at all with dealing him. She chuckled, flipping her hair slightly in victory.

She raised her sword, and put it near her mouth, sideways. It soon transferred back into a flute, and she blew, causing another high pitched noise.

The town wasn't in flames anymore, and the townsfolk were safe.

"Hikari...thank you. We owe you a-"

She shook her head at Chrom, and only smiled. "No need to owe me, M'lord-"

"Just call me Chrom, alright,...Hikari?" She nodded. "Of course."

Frederick gave her the cold shoulder, but all at the same time, was glad she came when she did.

"That was amazing, Hikari!" Lissa praised her, walking in front of her.

"You...you really think so?...thank you.  But I'm afraid I'll have to be on my way- I have other things yet to deal with...it was nice meeting you all."

Lissa 'awed', and nodded silently. Chrom nodded as well, letting her walk away slowly.

"Goodbye."

(Haha see what I did there? Hikari means light, even though some of you may have known...

"Risen has spread this far...?!!" Frederick exclaimed, readying his lance.

"It seems so; Shepherds, prepare for battle!" Chrom commanded, which everyone obeyed.

Ironically, both Lissa and Chrom were hoping to see Hikari again- even though that was two weeks ago, they both lost hope. The high pitched noise of her flute...it was dazzling. Her movements, the way she swiftly went against her enemies.

"Chrom!" Chrom immediately snapped out of thought, and payed more attention to the battlefield.

And there, yet again, a high pitched noise filled the whole battlefield, grabbing everyone's attention.

Hikari wore no expression on her face- she slashed the flute to her side, revealing her sword. She opened her eyes, with an angered look on her face, slashing at the first risen nearest to her.

"Which one of you is next? I suppose you all could handle a slash or two," Hikari said with a smug, with the Shepherds all staring at her in awe.

"Hello again; I suppose you needed extra help with these things, eh?"
Hikari smiled. "Gladly, I'd help all of you."

None of the Shepherds knew who she was, or why she was there to help. They liked her, of course, but just...why would she do such a thing for them?

(Time skip too lazy, Hikari becomes the tactician, joins the shepherds, etc etc.)

(Now we're at Ferox, about four hours before the tourtament)

I've been keeping track of mother and father, about the timeline, the risen...everything.

...and mother...her flute...it's still there...

(HOLY CRAP SOME WIND JUST WOOSHED BY OR SOMETHING, IT WAS SO LOUD)

(AND IT'S STILL GOING)

(Okay not anymore)

(IT'S COMING BACK- oh it's a helicopter by the sounds of it... sorry I'll keep writing :p)

She always played when I was a mere child, with Morgan...but I'm here for a reason, and that reason is to prevent the 'future' for them. Not the flute.

"Hey, um, Chrom?" I quickly lower down to the bushes, making as little noise as possible.

"Hm? Oh...yes?"

"I was wondering if I should start the battle with my flute again- it may not seem important, but it really is. But if I do that, not only will it attract the opponents attention, it will attract the whole arena.
...I'm awfully stage fright, too. And I wouldn't want to mess up for the whole team...!"

Mother? Stage fright? Haha, hahaha...
That maybe was really a problem...

Father chuckled. "Well, you won't. But may I ask a question, Hikari?"

"Of course."

"What does the flute really do to help?" Mother chuckled, sighing.

"I suppose I haven't really told you, or anyone at all, hm? Well...in a way, it can manipulate the enemies on the battlefield- but with a great price. It drains my energy, so...that is why you've seen me sleeping so much- better worded, not around camp, if you didn't know I was sleeping."

"Oh...my apologies. I didn't know, really..." (ack this is so hard to write, if you referred to me saying, "lowered down to the bushes a little while ago", I can't tell any movement of some sort. 😓)

Sorry, I gotta cut this one short.

AND THE COVERS ARE DELAYED AGAIN, I'M SO SORRY!!

I shouldn't be on any device, here's why:

So I went to the eye doctor this morning at like, 9:00 (it's 11:00 a.m. ish rn) then my parents FINALLY got me glasses (not yet the frames are coming on October 7th)...

Then my eye doctor put like this dialation or whatever and now my close vision is MESSED UP

I can barely see the screen rn (that's a lie but my vision is funny)

So uh

Sorry, so I won't fully be on wattpad until like, 4:00 or 3:00 p.m. EST
