~Lauren's POV~

"Who else is COMING?!?" I shout at Zach while we sit on the couch waiting for Mr. and Mrs. Herron to leave.

He hasn't answered me since we went over to meet Jonah and Eben. It's getting on my nerves not knowing.

"You will know in a couple minutes," he says and I groan because those were the exact same words coming out of his mouth for hours every time I question him now.

I groan throwing my head back and flinging Zach's arm off me.

"Is someone mad?" Zach asks using a baby voice. "Awwwww...."

I slap him and curl into his side. A couple minutes later though I hear the Herrons coming down. We say out goodbyes and as soon as they leave I see Jonah walk in.

"Your parents let me in," Jonah says to Zach. Zach nods and Jonah greets Ryan and Reese.

I'd have to say he is pretty good with kids. As we are all in the living room watching a previously recorded America's Got Talent I hear the door ring and think 'this has to be who Zach was talking about'!

I run to the door only to find one of my newer best friends. At first my eyes widen but then a smirk appears on my face.

"Oooooo," I coo, "my man is good!"

Tate furrows her eyebrows and starts saying, "Zach told me h-".

I cut her off by immediately pulling her hand into the living room and Jonah is sitting there tickling Reese and Ryan was laughing so hard.

"Lauren," Tate questions me, "who is that guy?"

"Jonah," I whisper. "He's your soulmate!"

She rolls her eyes but I see something in her eyes. No it wasn't dust (lmao😂) it was a bit of something like hope almost.

Oh yeah...it's time to be the matchmaker!

"They are bonding so well," I squirm as I come downstairs from putting Reese to bed.

"I know," he responds as we sit on the love seat together, "Jonah and Tate are like something I've never seen before."

I see both of them walk out of the kitchen and walk over to us as Jonah says, "Zach you're really cool and we should hang out soon."

"Do you mean Tate is really cool?" I wiggle my eyebrows and I see Tate give me a dagger glare while blushing which only makes me want to keep embarrassing her. "If so I know! She is perfect to be someone's girlfriend but if I find out once you two are togeth-"

Zach clamps his hand over my mouth but then gets a text and releases his hand as I breathe out looking at the two.

"My mom said her and my dad will be home real soon so Jonah you can split," Zach says and gets up giving Tate a hug and Jonah a guy handshake.

Jonah and Zach nod at each other and Zach walks Tate and him to the door.

When Zach is gone his phone dings and I look at it.

AtlanticRecords: Hello Zach this is David once again and I have some unfortunate news. I talked to my mangers about you and they said you are outstanding but they need you now in order to get you a deal of any kind. So I am allowing a week for you and anyone you need to get out here. If not we will no longer have contact with one another. Ok sorry again hope you can get back to me.

'Oh no' is all I can think.

I quickly delete the message and Zach comes back  and I snuggle into his side.

He asks, "Did I miss anything?"

"Nope nothing," I mumble.

'But I'll make sure your dreams come true Zachary if it's one of the last things I do!'
