~Lauren's POV~

"Yeah he just totally shut me down and went to her," I yell into the phone to my Blue Skye.

"Do I need to kick his ass?" she asks kindly.

"Nah fam," I laugh, "not today."

"Alright well me myself and I have plans for a movie night since you're not with me boo so I will talk to you later babes!" Skye giggles.

"Alright love you bye," I end the call.

Zach hasn't talked to me 'face to face' in 3 weeks since that call that Aspen interrupted. I honestly don't believe Zach would cheat on me but still it makes me upset.

During those 3 weeks I've only gotten 5 texts from him. 5 goodnights. Not one I love you. It really makes me upset. Obviously his career is important and I won't take that away from him but he is in no way prioritizing us. 

That's when I get a FaceTime. It's Zach. I debate on answering but I do cause I don't want to come off as a bitch.

"Hey," he breathes out when the screen connects and I see him flop on his bed smiling.

"Hi," I smile.

"What's wrong?" he sits up worried and immediately taking focus.

I furrow my eyebrows and say, "You being gone is ripping me apart. It actually is Zach. It hurts. Ever since that call that Aspen interrupted I've been in contact with Corbyn and the guys way better than my own boyfriend. That makes me so upset Zach. I'm not mad though...just upset. And no I do not think you're cheating on me but you aren't helping us with long distance right now."

I breathe put feeling better when I hear Zach laugh quietly and say, "I thought you were going to say nothing."

I look at his beautiful face through the screen and hold up two fingers. I face the fingers to him. He looks confused until a smile pops on my face.

I kiss the tips of my fingers and then hold them towards the screen. Zach repeats the motions after me.

"I love you," I say and close my eyes hoping for the words to maybe just even slip from his mouth.

"I love you to baby," he says. "I miss you."

"I bet you do miss all this," I say jokingly.

He laughs back with me. I couldn't ask for a better moment with my man.

"So it's almost been a month now. It's almost Christmas," he says.

"Are you goimg back to Dallas for Christmas?" I ask slightly frowning but then I picture how big Reese's smile will be if he goes.

"Yes but," he stops, "I miss you way too much so my mom and I pooled together some money so you can come to Dallas for Christmas!"

"Really?" I ask my smile widening.

"It's the least we could do," he says.

I coo and say, "Someone loves meeeee!"

"I sure do," he says and I jump out of my chair and shake my butt in a funny matter and double over laughing and I see Zach do the same.

"Alright I have to go but I love you and I will defenitely call you tomorrow," he winks.

"I love you too baby talk later," I blow him a kiss and end the FaceTime.

That felt amazing.  Just talking to him again. That's when I hear Chrsitina's door open.

"You guys are straight up couple goals," she says and walks into the kitchen.

That's when I get another call and just assume it's from Zach again but I see my mom's contact.

I answer happily, "Hello?"

"Baby," she sniffles and my face immediately drops, "you're grandmother just had a stroke."

"Text me what hospital and I will call you when I get there," I feel tears in my eyes.

The line goes silent and I call Christina in the living room immediately.

"What about a hospital?" she asks seeing the tears in my eyes.

"My grandmother had a stroke," I cry, "and I need a ride to the hospital."

She nods understanding and I walk out the door my vision blurry from the crying.

"Hey nana," I say leaning over her bed.

I asked to have a moment alone with her even though she is still asleep. I don't plan on leaving her anytime soon either. I guess Zach and I will have to survive without seeing each other for Christmas.

"I know you can't hear me but I love you so much. I appreciate you with everything that I have. I know now not to take you for granted because you have always been there for me. I won't leave you and we will spend Christmas and all your days left to come together ok? Rest and be safe." I finish.

I walk out of the room and my mother is crying into my father's shoulder. I also see Kaylee standing there head down.

"It will be ok mom," I reassure my mother, "she is ok."

She nods and I see them all walk to get some coffee. I sit in the longue area and I see a text from Christina and she said she texted everyone about what happened. She said they didn't want me wasting my time texting them when I needed to be spening time with my grandmother.

I appreciate that but this is the time where I really need support. I will make due because this is something I've never experienced before. Serious loss. But I'm not going to lose my grandmother now. No I will not. 

I love her.
