"OMG Luke shut up!" I giggled into the phone line "I get it, You are having fun! Just stop making me jealous of you!"
"Well if you didn't decline my offer you could have been here with me right now." He replied
"Well if a ticket and rooming didn't cost $1000 then i would have went!" I replied sarcastically, knowing what he was about to tell me..
"I told you I would cover your ticket and you could have stayed at my aunt's house with me!" He had said just like i knew he would.
"Yeah but I wouldn't feel right about it. Plus it would take forever for me to pay you back." I sighed.
"Lo, It would have been on me! You know that one; My job pays really well and two; my mom would have no problem helping if it made you feel better." He was trying to guilt me but there was no use now, he was already in Australia.
See my best friend and I had always planned since we were 9 that as soon as i was 18, since he is a couple months older than i am, that we would go to his home country; Australia. My 18th birthday was 2 months ago and here i am sitting at home in New York while Luke is having an amazing time back home with his friends and family. Our other friend Ashton who also is from Australia is with him as well.
The trip was just suppose to be Luke and I but just over 2 months ago my dad passed away from Prostate Cancer. My mom has never been around; she left my father and i alone when I was about 4.
After my Dad died my only options were to go live with my mom, where ever they would have to track her down, or live by myself. Obviously I chose to live by myself, but it is defiantly difficult; in more than one way.
I am so used to having company by me. My Dad and I lived in a one floor house, and we were also very close with each other. We would always watch TV together, even when I wanted to watch Pretty Little Liars or Degrassi or really any of my shows, he would still sit there and watch it with me. We got along really well and we would spend as much time as we could together. Now that I'm living alone i have no one asking me question when I'm doing homework or asking who it was that got hit by a car in a show. It is silent.
Secondly it is extremely difficult money wise. I can just pass by with the money i make. Rent is very expensive and groceries aren't cheap either. Sometimes I don't even have enough money to stock up my apartment with food and I have to salvage everything i have. Adding a thousand dollar dept wouldn't help my situation. Luke and his mom Liz had both offered to help with my situation but i don't want to have to owe them and i was to be independent. Prove to my mom that i really didn't need her.
"Hello, earth to Lola... I am paying for calling right now." Luke said jokingly yet with a bit of seriousness in his tone.
"Sorry Luke, I zoned out. " I replied
"Its alright, Ash says Hi" Having heard Ash in the background i already knew that "Hi Ashton, put him on the phone, I'm bored of you." I spoke laughing.
"Wow rude!" He laughed back "LOLA!!!" I heard a yell of the other side. "ASHTON!!!" I yelled back.
"Lo, you've got to help me!" He spoke in such a serious manner I knew he was kidding, but i just had to play along.
"What is it Ash?" I said in my most serious voice i could use right now, trying to hold back a laugh
"Luke is all tense and stressed." He replied giggly; for what i have no idea.
"What? Why?"
"BECAUSE HE CANT JACK OFF!" He exclaimed and i think i might have peed myself from how much i was laughing.
"WHAT THAT'S NOT TRUE!!!" I heard Luke deny in the back.
"Yeah it is!!! You even told me that you needed a good jack but can't because I'm in here!" Ash laughed.
"Its okay Luke, everybody knows that you're packing and need to let a load off sometimes- or should i say let a load out" I said and immediately heard Ashton laughing so loud and i just had to join in.
"Guyssss stop picking on me! Ashton needs to jack too!!" Luke exclaimed "Nah Mate, I have Ginny to help me unload."
"EW ASHTON!" Luke and I exclaimed at the same time.
"WHAT! AT LEAST I DIDN'T DESCRIBE HOW SHE'S FUC-" I then heard muffling and a few screams then "Sorry about that Lo, Ashton is a nasty. That's why i wanted you to come on this trip instead of him." Luke said
"I'm sorry but i just couldn't, maybe for my 19th?"
"For sure." He said; me just picturing him smiling into the phone.
"How'd you get the phone from him anyways?" I asked curiously
"I had tried the sneak attack from behind but he wouldn't let go to then i had to tickle him so he had tried to kick my balls but i moved and just continuously tickled him until his grasp loosened and just ran onto the balcony. " He said it like it was nothing.
"Oh, okay then. Well it is 11:30 and I have to work tomorrow morning at 9 so i should get going." I said yawning
"Aww no!" Luke whined
"Aww yes! I need money."
"Fine, Ill call you tomorrow, promise." Luke said.
"Okay bye Luke, Bye Ash." I said waiting for a reply and hung up.
I hopped into the bed and hoped for a good day tomorrow.
