•a few months later•
After a long year at school, the summer had finally arrived. The trees and flowers were in full bloom, the days were longer and accompanied by the warm sun, and there was loads of time to spend doing things other than being at school. One of which was partying. After my first party, is pretty much never turned down an invite. In fact I'm surprised a girl like me even gets invites- yes they're all from my friends but still.
In fact there was gonna be a crazy party tonight at Hunters house. My girls and I were all getting ready together at my house considering it was the closest to Hunters and that my parents had gone on a long vacation. Having the house to ourselves for the day would be great.
After chilling all day it was finally time to start getting ready. I had Amy doing my hair while Sky did my makeup. She was really good, and ended up doing this sexy red-lip, full contour look. It made me feel weird at first considering I didn't recognise myself.
Giselle let me borrow this black dress that had a v-neck. I didn't have a large chest so it wasnt as though anything was hanging out, however it was still pretty low. As for the dress it was also quite short.
After we had all gotten our heels on we carefully made our way downstairs and began walking to Hunters. It was only about 15 minutes away and we weren't even on his houses road yet we still heard the music in the breeze. I followed the rest of my friends inside and let myself eventually feel free...

I was awoken the next morning by the doorbell ringing. I cursed to myself after stepping over all the passed out bodies of my friends and catching sight of myself in the hallway mirror. At least it would only be a delivery guy seeing me in such a mess."Hey Riley, we need to talk."
I was ashamed to see the guy I liked stood there. I looked even more like trash than I usually do!
James pushed his way into my house without invitation and made his way to my lounge. Despite there being three comfortable couches spread around the room, he still didn't take a seat.
"What's up?" I question following him. He obviously wasn't happy about something...if only I could remember what.
Somewhere deep inside my head I recall seeing him at the party last night.
"Remember..remember the time we sat on the skatepark together at that party a while back. Well you, you asked me what had changed with me? You accused me of being a different person than before. And I told you nothing changed" he ranted on, pausing only for a breath.
"Yeah I remember..and?"
"Well I didn't! Wanna know who did change? YOU Riley, it's you who changed!"
I didn't care wether the girls heard from upstairs and woke up- I doubt they would anyway.
•trigger warning•
"For the better!" I argued back. "Why? what is it? Do you miss the days where I was constantly sad? The days where I was forced to school despite having starved myself and suffer abuse all day? To most people school is like a prison. But to me, it was pure hell. You all had it lucky compared to me! And now I'm happy and getting back to living a healthy, sociable life, you decide you don't like it?"James stood there in silence. He looked hurt, but I wasn't going to apologise. His words hurt me more..
"That's not what I meant." I rolled my eyes at his pathetic words. "It's the truth!"
"So what did you mean because as far as I'm aware that's all that changed" I mumbled blankly.
"Exactly! You have no idea that you changed. I miss the old you, not the unhappy you, but the smart, kind, innocent you. All you do now is party every weekend and turn up late to class...I miss it. I miss you Riley."
