Jennie's P.O.V.

I walked into the restaurant with my mask on. I decided to take the sunglasses off - I wasn't recognizable anyways, so what use?

"Sooyoung!" I heard someone call me.

As I looked to my right, I saw Taehyung sit at a table for two that had a burning candle on it. The other seat was empty, he was smiling widely and lovingly, and waving at me with his hand raised to the ceiling.

"Oh, Taehyung", I exclaimed, trying to seem as excited as possible. As I got to the table, he stood up and got closer to me, approaching me with a tight hug. I tried to stop my shivering so he wouldn't figure out it was me - it was cold, so maybe he could think it was because of the weather outside, but my clothes were thick enough for me not to feel cold, so maybe he wasn't so foolish for once.

"Sit", he said smiling, although his smile was losing honesty as he spoke. "I...thought...we should...find a private enough place to talk. I know a restaurant isn't quite what it should be, but...at least it's better than the car."

I giggled, although I didn't find anything funny. He seemed serious enough not to make me laugh like he usually did. I mean, make Sooyoung laugh, cause Jennie was never amused by anything he did or said. Actually, she was always rather hurt, offended, or ready to beat the shit out of him. He was such a jerk and he broke my heart every damn time, and yet I still had strong feelings for him.

"So...maybe we should order something to drink first", he said nodding, but avoiding my gaze. He moved nervously on his chair as he grabbed the menu, opened it, and started looking through it frantically.

"Sure, I...I guess", I answered, starting to feel awkward. I picked up the menu carefully and opened it to the drinks page. "I think I'll get a mango and passion fruit lemonade. What will you get?"

"I'm really craving some red wine", he said with honesty. "But I won't have more than half a glass since the driving duty when we're done is still mine."

When he said these things usually, he laughed shortly, but this time he really didn't.

What the fuck does he have to tell me that's so important, and why is he acting like he's never talked to me before?

As the waiter came with our drinks and placed them on our table, we picked them up and sipped quietly for a short while. I looked at him and he looked back at me, but we didn't seem to be starting any new conversation too soon since it was all so awkward and uncomfortable between the two of us.

"So...Sooyoung..." he began.

Uh oh. Shit's about to begin.

"I...feel very bad telling you this", he continued.

My stomach suddenly started churning. I've never seen his this serious, and I've most certainly never seen him this focused when he had something to say. This really must've been something big. Woe is me, I started shaking again.

"But..."

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

"I think we should..."

FUCK!

"Break up."

GOD! YES, FINALLY!

"I'm sorry, I really did love you, but...I just...love another woman now", he said, and looked deep into my eyes sorrowfully. "W-Will you forgive me, Sooyoung?"

I smiled, trying to show sorrow as well, though deep inside I was happy.

"Well...I was going to do it first, so thank God you did it. It's now easier for me", I said, and laughed uncomfortably. "But...may I ask who that woman is?"

"H-Her name is..."

He stopped and looked away.

"Jennie."
