Jennie's P.O.V.
I was there, my jaw dropped.
After the shitty way he has treated me, HE LOVES ME?
"Jennie? As in...the Blackpink member?" I asked, hoping he knows another Jennie.
"Yes", he approved.
"Oh, that's so cool!" I exclaimed, assuring him that I'm not hurt. "Go for your chance then, what the fuck are you waiting for?! You are two very shipped idols. So date her!"
"Ha!" he exclaimed. He laughed and rubbed his nape shyly, trying not to blush, which he failed. "It...isn't that easy. I don't know if she has the same feelings for me. We...had a hell of a fight today, and she said some really rude things to me. Ahhh, I'm no good for her."
We looked at each other blankly.
"Aish, I don't know why I'm telling you these things. It...isn't like you care-"
"Tae, I do care. I want the best for you and Jennie. You see, sometimes...girls get nervous around boys when they have feelings for them, and they say things they don't think, instantly regretting everything. So...if she said rude things to you...don't mind her. She didn't do it intentionally. She loves you, I'm sure."
"Ahh, thanks for the encouragement", he said, and smiled shyly at me again. "I'll ask her out once I get enough courage."
"Good, that's the spirit!" I exclaimed and we both laughed.

As we finished our drinks, we payed the bill and left. It was barely 11pm, so we were hopefully not going to get chastised for being out so long and not having dinner with our members at the new house. It felt bad that we missed our first "family" dinner at our new house, but it also felt good that I - I mean, Sooyoung - had such a good and memorable dinner with Taehyung.
We left the building and noticed the rain outside was heavy.
"Ah, summer rain", Taehyung said, and chuckled softly. "Don't worry, I always have this with me", he said and pulled out an umbrella from his bag.
While he was struggling to open his umbrella and we were walking, a lightning stroke so close to us that I literally saw it hit the ground.
"Ah!" I exclaimed in fear, with a quick movement of my head.
It didn't take me long to realize that my movement was so prompt, my mask had fallen off, and now my entire face was revealed.
And so I had a shocked Taehyung staring at me.
