Will there ever be a day
Where I say the world has fallen to its knees
Submitting before me?
As of right now
I cannot answer that
As I am the one on my knees
Forced to submit
Before the aristocrat
That is societyThe world has been placed on this pedestal
Where some fail to achieve
Falling before they can reach its peak
While there are the fortunate others
Who accomplish it with ease
And the utmost expertiseUnfortunately, for me
That is but a dream
A serene fantasy
Attained from the otherworldly beauty
That is sleep
I will never obtain the gold that is serendipity
But the traces of copper found within my bloodstream
As birth has automatically handed it to meBut I am gifted with this life and it's many opportunities
It's endless number of obscurities
There is so much that is unknown
That is misunderstood
If one would take the time to earn the knowledge that is available within this world
To treat the wounds that have been bestowed upon us
As we will become conditioned not to get burned
They will learn, life is but a learning process
You may get burned, but you will heal
And you will learn despite all that you feel
You will know
