You don't expect it
As you never do
That it will come back full force,
Unapologetic
Ready to eat you alive
And you let it

As it awaits your mental decay
Still your mind holds on to that last piece of life
While you encourage it to let go
Because you are so ready to be consumed by the abyss of sadness that awaits you
Because you know it'd be so much easier just to let go
To give up, to end this
Because being pulled up, only to fall again
Leaves more scars, more broken hearts, and damaged minds
And this battle is insufferable
You are suffering
And you don't think you can endure it for much longer
