Story of Her Life

Sophia broke the hug and start explaining things with sadness in her voice.

Sophia:

I was a little kid, just a little kid with no friends. Whenever I ask for someone's friendship, they were like,

"No, we are cool without you."

I used to hide my pain with a smile and leave the place, hoping they will stop me and say,

"Join us. Play with us."

But no use. I knew it was just my fantasies and hopes. Their voices never called me or invited me.

I wasn't hopeless that time because I had my parents. We used to live happily. Whenever my dad used to leave for work, my mom was always there to play with me.

Once, me and my mom were passing through the park. I saw a little boy crying alone. I asked my mom to give me some time,

"Mom, can I go?"

"Honey, where?"

"I want to talk to my close friend."

"But you said that you don't-"

"I have, I hid it from you."

"Sophia, no more hiding of things from mom, promise me."

"Okay mom, I promise *smiles*"

"That's my daughter *smiles back*".

"Can I go now? *tilting her head*"

"Yes, I will be waiting here."

"Thanks mom!"

And then I rushed to that boy. I lied to my mom. I had no friends, I said that he was my close friend so that she can give me permission to go.

I sat beside that boy. His features were no joke, it made me forgot why I was there in the first place. He looked at me with his teary eyes slowly which broke my heart. I hugged him immediately because I have one weakness, I can't see people crying.

According to me, hug is the best thing to do if you want to comfort someone. At first he flinched but then he hugged me back and cried on my shoulder.

I felt bad for him. He was crying so badly, his eyes were puffy too. After some time, he broke the hug and moved back to keep distance between us. I used to be very stubborn-

Yoongi and Jessy:

Used to be?

Sophia:

Okay okay! I am still very stubborn.

Anyway, as I was very stubborn that time too, I moved too, closer. He kept on moving until he was trapped between tree and me.

All I said was,

"Why are you running?"
