Bella's pov

"How?" I just asked blinking at him waiting for him to say something.

"There is a way to reject your mate, although that's very, very rare since when you see your mate you instantly fall in love with them." He explained and I listened trying to take all the information in.

"But the consequences are never good. When a werewolf rejects their mate, chaos happens. They feel a lot of physical and emotional pain, they fall into depression, and eventually die." Julian finished and I widened my eyes.

"But. Wait, wait, wait. If you're telling me this, than this means-" I didn't even finish my sentence. I couldn't. I was in too much shock.

"Who is he?" I asked and that seemed to trigger them all since they all tensed up. "Bella." Emma started slowly, and everyone looked to be alert.

"You know how packs work, right?" She asked me and in fact, I did know. "Y-yeah. You always bought me werewolf books for my birthday."

"Yes, so, there's the Alpha of the pack, in our pack, that's Julian." I looked up at Julian and he had a proud look in his eyes. "And then there's the Beta of the pack. That's Jake." I looked at him and he also had a proud look in his eyes. "Tyler is the Gamma." I looked at Tyler and he held the exact same look in his eyes.

"Our Delta is on a business trip, you know him. Ted Stinson." Julian explained. My eyes widened. "Ted Stinson?! The really hot, smart bad boy that can make any girl swoon just by looking at her?" I finished and I heard four growls in the room. The one in front of me was the loudest.

I looked at all of them with wide eyes and they were all looking at me with hard eyes, except Emma. She held amusement in hers. "You know you aren't allowed to have thoughts like that so just stop it." Jake said trying to be dramatic making me laugh.

"Ted has a mate." At this my ears perked up. "I'm listening." I said looking at Tyler. "It's Emma." He said smirking at her while she held a small blush. I gasped "You never told me!" What kind of a best friend are you?!" I acted so dramatic, I know, but I'm her best friend.

"Okay, okay. Calm your tits girl. We only met a few days ago when I turned sixteen." She explained and that made me remember my own birthday. "Guys. Who is my mate then." They tensed up again and Julian started talking.

"Your mate. Is the Alpha. Of our neighboring pack. Ethan Stryker." Julian gritted out and my world stopped. That's when everything was clear to me. "T-take me to him." That was the only thing that I could have muttered out in my utter shock.

"Bella-" I cut Julian off by yelling "TAKE ME TO HIM." They all flinched and Julian scooped me up in his arms and took me to the car.

"Look. I can only take you to the border, but I can't go with you any farther since I'm not allowed. You're human so they'll just capture you and you request for their Alpha, and they'll bring him to you. Understood?" He asked and I nodded.

The car came to an abrupt stop in the middle of nowhere. "You go straight, you won't even pass a few meters and some wolves will be there, don't be frightened. They can't do anything to you. Just request for their Alpha."

I unbuckled my belt and went onto his lap, in a way I was straddling him. "Thank you so much Julian." I whispered hugging him tightly, to which he responded to hugging me even tighter. "Bye Bella. Stay safe."
