"The hell?" Bella said looking at all six members of council. They were wearing black robes, almost like judges in courts, and their expressions were serious.
"You heard us. You happened to be amongst the few people who get two mates, and they have to reject one. I think this is the first time this ever happened to a human." She mumbled the last part to herself.
"B-but how do I choose?" Bella's voice was shaky, Atlas sensed it and squeezed her waist in reassurance.
In reality, he is more of a nerve wrack than she is. He is shaking on the inside, fearing that the only person that made him soft by just looking at her, will reject him for another man.
As he thought of her other mate, his entire figure tensed. He couldn't stand to think of her showing her affection towards another man.
He didn't even realize the meeting was finished and Bella was leading him out of the room, in his castle of course, and towards the room she way staying in, also known as Atlas'room.
"Okay I won't lie, that really turned me on." He chuckled at her red face before turning serious. "So who are you going to pick?" He was holding his breath, fearing the worst.
"I don't know." She breathed making his heart fall down to his stomach. An idea popped up in her mind.
"You must have a library here right? So we should go and search for answers in the book we find." He furrowed his brows. "Love, there are thousands of werewolf books in my library. It would take us months to find it."
She slumped her shoulders before the door slammed into the wall, shaking on its hinges.
She jumped in fright and her first instinct was to hide behind Atlas. He growled at the panting idiot before him for scaring his mate.
"What do you want Cane?" He asked clearly annoyed. "Well hello to you too bestie." He rolled his eyes. Bella laughed at his sass making Atlas growl again.
Cane finally noticed her presence and his eyes lit up. "Hello Queen." He said bowing slightly. She looked at him weirdly and when he realized she didn't know he paled while fixing his gaze on Atlas slowly.
He was giving him death glares "What did you need Cane?" He gritted out. "Well, your brother is here to see you."
