Thirty-Eight

"He's a rapist Bella. You were in a room with a rapist." She froze in her spot. "What?" She whispered. Her heartbeat sped up, her breathing got more ragged and swallowing got more difficult for her.

"Are you joking? Please tell me you're joking." Bella was frightened, her eyes wide and she was blinking rapidly.

He shook his head "He raped his own mate." Bella's eyes widened even more if it was possible, and in that moment Cane started speaking as he entered the room with Jonathan in tow.

"He raped his own mate. After that, the council punished him by taking away his powers, and sending him off to East Europe. His parents also disowned him after it happened."

Bella swallowed, slowly processing everything they were saying "What happened to his mate?" She strangled out. Jonathan, who was silent till now, replied to her. "She's got a second chance mate from the pack."

"Who is it?" Bella was uncertain of the question, she felt as if she was annoying and was asking too much questions.

"Me." Jonathan growled out. Bella sat down onto the chair. This was all way too complicated. She blinked several times to try to get out of her state of shock.

"I let Jonathan beat him to a pulp after he found out what he did and then my parents disowned him and banished him from rogue land, after what the council made him human." Atlas explained and her eyes widened as she looked over to him.

"What? There are many rapist werewolves that don't get punished that harshly. Even though they should." Bella explained after they all looked at her. She was confused and curious but at the same time disgusted and repulsed.

"He is a part of a royal family, Bella. He has strong blood in him and even though he claims he was drunk, it's almost impossible to get drunk for a werewolf that size. Atlas here could only get tipsy even after several bottles of Brandy. Heck! Even I can barely get drunk!" Cane spoke after a long time of being silent, which is unusual for him.

Bella gulped "C-Can I meet her?" She breathed and looked over to Jonathan. Who knows what could have happened to that girl. Was she scarred for life? Was she afraid of men kind now?

Jonathan smiled "Of course. She is putting Jake to sleep now but I'll tell her to come over later." The mention of Jake's name reminded her of how much she misses her home.

Her eyebrow suddenly quirked up as she straightened up. "Who is Jake." Jonathan smiled proudly. "My baby boy. He is one year old at the moment."

"Aww. Can I meet him. Please." Bella dragged out, making a puppy face. He nodded "He'll come over with Maria." That was her mothers name.

A strong feeling of nostalgia hit her but she said nothing, excited about meeting Jonathan's mate and son.

Cane snickered "They literally couldn't hold off their baby making ceremony for a week. When she met his parents her mother said she hears two heartbeats in Maria and that's when they found out she was pregnant." I couldn't help but stifle a laugh of my own.

It was sort of funny to me thinking of meeting Atlas' parents and them telling me I'm pregnant.

"Do you. Have any. Idea. How hyperactive that child is?" Cane slowly spoke while narrowing his eyes at the floor and shaking his head.

Jonathan laughed "Jake chewed out his favorite video game. They have been in a feud ever since." Cane growled.

"That kid is evil! I am telling you. It wants to get rid of me and take over my place of being the best gamer in the world!"
