Thirty-Nine

A knock sounded at the castle kitchen and Bella was practically jumping up and down excitedly. "Come in!" She exclaimed eagerly wanting to meet Maria and Jake.

Little footsteps sounded followed by a sound of a child squeal. Bella looked down at a boy standing in front of Atlas, with his hands raised up. "Up. Up."

"Hey Jake. What's up little man." Atlas raised him in the air, his pearl eyes glistening with delight. Atlas' bleached hair was brushing his forehead now, indicating he needs a haircut.

"Hello Alpha. Luna." Bella snapped out of her little awing session and looked in front of her to see a woman, her hair raven black and long, with light brown skin and enchanting blue eyes.

She was tall and lean, her muscles visible under the tank top she was wearing. "Hello. My name is Bella." Bella smiled and held her hand out.

Maria offered her a friendly smile of her own "I'm Maria. And this is Jake." She shook Bella's hand and gestured towards Jake who made himself comfortable in Atlas' arms and was leaning into his chest, playing with his gigantic hand.

Jake had light brown skin, just like his mother and father, and dark brown hair just like Jonathan. He looked up at Bella and she gasped.

His one eye was hazel, with green, brown, yellow and orange swirling inside, while his other eye was a stunning blue like Maria's.

"Whoa." Bella breathed out. Jake smiled toothily at her, she was surprised a one year old had most of his teeth grown. His dimples were showing and freckles were visible on his nose and cheeks.

He squealed and leaned forward in Atlas' arms, spreading his arms out towards Bella. Bella spread her hands out to hold him but Atlas made no move to let him go.

Jake grumbled adorably and furrowed his little brows, looking back at Atlas. "Uncwe. Wet me go! I wanna be hewd by the pwetty wady." He spoke adorably and Bella silently awed. She adored children.

Atlas laughed "So you want to steal my girlfriend away from me now, huh. I see the way she looks at you little man." Jake gasped "Gwilfwiend! Uncwe has a giwfwiend! Is she youw mate?" Jakes eyes were wide and his mouth formed an adorable o.

Atlas nodded. "Yes little man. Do you like her? She'll be your aunt soon." Bella blinked rapidly and blushed, making Maria laugh deeply.

"Auntie! I wanna be hewd by auntie!" Jake yelled and sprung out of Atlas' arms. If Atlas didn't hold him back he would have fallen to the floor.

Bella took him in her arms, and he nuzzled her neck instantly. "What's youw name?" His voice was muffled but she understood.

"Bella. I assume you are Jake?" He gasped and raised his head to look at her "How did you know?" She laughed lightly "Your daddy told me all about you. Cane also told me you are a very hyperactive boy."

He clapped his little palms together "Cane! I wove Cane!" His face was now sad "But Cane doesn't wove me." His eyes filled with tears as he pouted.

"Of course he does. Why would you say that?" Jake sniffled "Because he got angwy when I chewed his game once. I just wanted him to pway with me." He said sadly rubbing his eyes.

Bella's heart broke. Cane could be so careless about people's emotions. She thought he was joking when he said he doesn't like Jake.

"Atlas. Can you please mind link Cane to come here immediately." Jake's face lit up. "Cane is coming! Yay!"

Maria has excused herself minutes ago, saying she has somewhere to be so she left Jake with Atlas and Bella.

"He's here." Bella narrowed her eyes and handed Jake to Atlas. "I'll be right back Jakey. Don't be sad alright?" He nodded. "Will Cane come here?" Bella smiled "Of course he will." And walked out the kitchen door.

"You." She spoke and pointed her finger at Cane as soon as she spotted him. "Me?" Cane asked confusedly pointing to himself.

"Do you know how sad Jake is because of you?" Cane growled "Bullshit. He hates me and annoys me and makes my life miserable every day."

Bella groaned "The child loves you. He chewed out your favorite video game so you can't play it anymore so you can play with him." Realization hit Cane's face.

"Oh my God. I made a little kid sad! Where is he?" Bella smiled and gestured towards the kitchen.

They entered, and Jake's face lit up. "Uncwe Cane!" He spread his hands out to him and Cane gladly took him in his arms.

"Hey Jake. Wanna show me your toy collection?" Jake's eyes lit up even more as he nodded eagerly. "You go. Cane will come in a minute." Jake nodded and ran out, as soon as it happened Atlas introduced Cane's back to the wall.

"Growl at Bella again and I'll rip your tonsils out with my bare hands." He let him go and Cane laughed running out the door.

I'm on my damn period and every single body part hurts.
