I open one of them and read it
'Jocelyn if you get this I love you, I never walked out on you, ur mom, or your brother and sister your mom kicked me out I want to see you and catch up, I have a wife natasha and you have two younger sisters ebony and Erica' I put it back knowing I couldn't read no more, I grab another one and started reading
'Jocelyn you never wrote back, I guess your mom already got you brain washed' as I was reading mom walked in
"hey sweetie you found the jac-, what are you doing with those"she asks looking at the letter in my hand "I can't believe you never showed me these I have two other sisters and a step ma" I say my eyes watering "I know you may be upset, but we can work this out" she says trying to grab the letter out my hand but I pull them away
"mama you have lied before but nothing this big, this whole time I thought he left us, but you left him, you knew I always wanted to meet him" I say trying to walk out
honey, he said I brain washed you" she said stopping me from leaving out
"because you did" I say walking past her the door bell rang and I go down to answer it and it Dylan
"oh hey" I say whipping my eyes so he wouldn't notice "what's wrong, everything okay" he asks whipping my eyes "umm can I take a rain check its family stuff" I say kissing him on the lips "sure, take all the time you need" he said walking down the steps but then turns around " you look great by the way" he says smiling. "thanks you look good too, good night"
I say shouting my door and running up to my room with the letters still in my hand

the next day 1period
"okay class imma pair you guys up with a partner, to do a report on the others person what they like to do you know stuff like that" Mr prinskit says(he back now) jade raises her hand
"yes Ms feilds" he said pointing at her "what does this have to do with history"she says "you'll see, okay Emma pair everyone up" he says grabbing his clipboard
'jade you are with gabby
Dylan you are with Zoe
correna you are with tony
Jocelyn out are with Gavin" (and so fourths) what Gavin this is not gonna work I tell my self

after last period
I'm at my locker when Gavin walks up "so are you coming over" he ask with one of his arm on the locker beside mines "for what" I ask closing my locker "our project" he says
"oh yea, umm I guess" I say not looking him in the eye "well you car ride with me if you want" he says raising his eyebrow "no thanks I don't want your girlfriend to get jealous" I say walking past him with him right behind
"come on now she is not my girlfriend" he says frustrated
"well I'm not taking any chances, I just get Dylan to drop me off" I say leaving him standing there
"hey Dylan, can you give me a ride to Gavin's" I ask grabbing his hand "Gavin's house, why" he asks as we enter the parking lot "calm down big fella, for our project, remember" I say nodging him
