I leave a note for mom and Jon saying: be back in a few. went out penny boarding. love ya

So I walk to where the bike path starts and hop on nova. By now its almost 7:30 and Im supposed to meet my bff Jessie at our secret place at 7:45. It takes me ten min to get there with NO delays. So Im hoping I get there on time.

So I get there and Jessica is laying on buddy. (Her navy blue penny board with black wheels she named after her dog Buddy) I walk up to her and a "Hi." is all I could manage.

She jumps and falls off her board and says to me "Hi? Where the hell where you Linz? It's freikn 8:10!" I look down avoiding eye contact and say "sorry. I had to pack more. You know I leave tonight."

I looked at her and she sat on her board and started to cry.(and she is not an emotional person. TOMBOY POWAH!) "I know. It completely and entirely sucks dick. But Ill text and call and FaceTime every day I swear." I sat next to her and hugged her.

She hugged me back and stopped crying to say "Yeah but you can't hug me. What happens when you or I break up with a boyfriend? Or how about when we wanna have a sleepover, huh? It won't be the same." I felt guilty. My bff was a hot mess. And it was cuz of me.

"Well," I said "how bout we take a walk on our trail?" She nodded and we walked and talked and laughed our asses of. But I had to go home.

"Will you call me when you get to Anchorage? And then in LA? Then you gotta FaceTime me when you get to your house cuz I wanna see it." she said really fast. "Of course I will Jess! You my bffae!" I said hugging her. We said our final goodbyes and we went our separate ways.
