+ raelynn's pov

"You're not serious are you?"

"I just want to talk to him."

"Raelynn, you should probably talk to Grayson about this," Addison said.

"But he's going to stop me from going."

"Exactly."

I sighed, contemplating it in my head. It definitely wasn't the best idea but I just wanted to talk to him.

"I'm going, Addy."

She exhaled, clearly disagreeing with my idea. "What are you going to talk about, anyway?"

"I don't know, okay. I just want to see him."

"Why do you come up with the dumbest ideas?"

I drove towards the dull building, almost wanting to turn back. Breathing in and out, I gathered the courage to walk through the doors.

Heading to the desk, I wandered around the place, noticing how lifeless everything looked. The lady at the desk even looked like the life inside of her had been sucked out, being in this place all day.

"Er, I'm here for Ethan Dolan."

"Name," the lady said in a low voice.

"Raelynn Jordan." She typed the keys on her keyboard before handing me a document.

"Fill this out and sit over there," she pointed to a row of chairs, still using her uninterested voice.

I grabbed the papers, filling them out and sitting on the chairs.

A few minutes passed and a guard walked over to me.

"Here for Ethan Dolan, correct?" His deep voice almost scared me.

"Yes," I answered trying to to sound the slightest bit terrified.

"Right this way."

He wakes me over to a small room with dim lights.

"You have 15 minutes," the guard said before exiting the room.

I felt anxious alone in the room but noticed the guard stood outside the door. In my peripheral vision, I noticed someone in an orange jump suit walk in.

I looked towards him, immediately noticing the resemblance between the two of them. They both have very similar eyes and nose but Ethan's chin was much pointier.

"Raelynn?" Ethan's voice cut me off from my staring.

"How do you know who I am?"

"Rufus' daughter," he mumbled. I could barely make out what he was saying.

Confusion arose, not understanding how he knew who I was.

"Why are you here? Aren't you not angry at me or...?"

"Why would I be angry?" I was still puzzled.
