+ raelynn's pov
"Hey, Mom!"
"Hello, my love. How was Anguilla," my mother's voice said from the phone.
"It was amazing. Grayson actually asked me to his girlfriend," I smiled, remebering the moment.
"Aw, I'm so happy for you! I can tell how happy he makes you. Make sure he treats you right, you deserve nothing but the best, Raelynn," she said.
"Thank you, mom," I blushed.
I heard my aunt mumble something from the phone, "Raelynn, I'll speak to you soon, your aunt needs help with her car," she chuckled.
"Say hello to everyone for me. I love you."
"I love you too, Rae," she said, before ending the call.
By the time the call ended, I had already arrived to Addison's house. I knocked on the door to be faced with my best friend who I dearly missed. However, she didn't seem very happy. My smile automatically dropped, and I wrapped my arms around her.
"Addy, what's wrong," I asked, softly.
She broke into tears, soaking my shirt. I rubbed her back to calm her down before letting go of her. I walked her to the couch as she sniffled.
"How was Anguilla," she asked, her voice coming out as hoarse and rough. It was clear she had been crying for a while. She had dark circles over her eyes and her cheeks were bright red.
"We'll talk about me later. What's wrong," I asked again.
"Jonah," she barely made out.
My eyes widened, "He didn't hurt you or anything, did he."
"We broke up," Addy sobbed again. I engulfed her in another hug. Jonah and her seemed so good together. They both made each other equally as happy and it breaks my heart to see her so upset.
I pulled away, looking at her. "Do you wanna talk about it," I questioned.
She nodded slightly, positioning herself better on the couch.
"A couple days ago, he showed up at my house and seemed angry at something. I tried comforting him but he kept rejecting and out of the blue, he broke up with me," her voice cracked after every word. "He said he wasn't happy with my anymore. Am I not good enough for anyone, Rae."
My heart broke for her. Addison was so pure, she doesn't deserve anything she's been through. Every boy she's been with has hurt her in some way.
"Don't say that, Addison. You're perfect. Jonah's an idiot if he doesn't see it. Everything about you is amazing and no ones deserves you. Whoever you're with is extremely lucky to have you, Add. I promise," I said, wholeheartedly. She truly is such an amazing person.
"Thank you, Raelynn. I'm lucky to have you," she smiled at me. I wiped her tears off her face with my thumb.
"No more crying, tell me about Anguilla. How was it?"
"It was amazing. Everything about the place is beautiful and the beaches are gorgeous.
"How was Grayson? Did you guys do anything," she smirked, raising an eyebrow. Through her happy expression, I could see the pain she held.
