+ raelynn's pov

My eyes widened due to the fact I was on the floor. Wasn't I sleeping on the couch? I felt muscular arms envelope me into warmth. Realisation hit me that I was sleeping on the floor with Grayson. I tried to squirm out of his grasp but his strength decided against it.

An odd sensation lit inside me. I couldn't help but feel jittery due to his touch. But it had to end as this was wrong.

"Grayson. Wake up." I tried loudly whispering but I didn't want to ruin his peaceful sleep.

I tried poking him and his hold on me tightened as he groaned. His eyes opened and he looked at the situation we were in.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I guess you fell off the couch," he nervously chuckled as he let go of me. I lightly frowned at the loss of contact.

He stood up and walked to the kitchen, "you can shower in the bathroom and I'll make breakfast. There's stuff in the cabinets you can use."

Following his actions, I stood up as I rubbed my eyes to wake me up. I noticed Grayson staring and looked down. As his sweats were far too big, they were pushed down a little revealing my lace underwear.

"Uh, I'll be right back," I said as I walked up the stairs, holding the sweatpants up.

As I've never been here before, I didn't know where the bathroom was. A few failed attempts and I finally located the bathroom.

I checked the cabinets for a new toothbrush and anything to remove the little sleep I had left.

I splashed cold water and brushed my teeth before heading into the shower. The warm water cascaded down me, relieving me from the uncomfortable sleep.

I stepped out wrapping a towel around my soaked head. I realised I had nothing to wear so asked Grayson for something he could lend me. He said I could pick out anything his sister had left in his house and I found a t-shirt a pair of shorts.

Once I was ready, I walked downstairs smelling the aroma of the food Grayson had made.

"It smells good in here," I laughed.

"I made waffles and avocado toast. You can pick whatever you want or there's cereal in the drawers."

I grabbed slices of toast and joined Grayson at the centre island.

"Sorry for crashing here last night. I feel like I burdened you."

"Don't worry. I haven't had anyone over in a while and last night was fun, it almost felt like a sleepover," he squeezed like a child.

A comfortable silence fell as we both ate, enjoying the company of each other.

Once I finished, I stood up walking to the sink to rinse my utensils off.

"You can leave those there. I'll clean up later."

"It's the least I can do, Grayson."

As I was cleaning, I could feel his eyes burning my back. I tensed a little as he came behind me, placing his plates in the sink. The sudden contact shot electricity throughout me.

"I'm gonna get dressed and I'll bring your own clothes also," he said before walking up the stairs.

He took a while so I walked towards the living room glancing at the many photos placed on the mantle piece.

I saw photos of him and his friends in beautiful frames. I also noticed a photo of him, and who I assumed, was his twin. Ethan. I remembered Grayson talking fondly over him. They looked identical and it made me wonder if they had any changes to them now. I chuckled seeing the similarities between young Grayson and Grayson in the present.

His voice broke me from my snooping.

"We were inseparable. He was my best friend and I was his. We'd do the stupidest shit together but it made memories I'll never forget." He seemed like he was reminiscing on the old times. "I miss him," he mumbled and I decided against asking what had happened to Ethan.

"He seems like a really good guy, Gray."

"He is. At least, that's what I kept telling him." Before I could ask anything else, he handed me my freshly washed clothes for me to change into.

"I'll let you change and then maybe we can go out somewhere." I could tell his smile was forced so I held his hand in comfort before heading to the bathroom to change.

I walked downstairs, in my own clothes this time, and saw Grayson sitting down on the couch.

"Do you wanna head out anywhere. It's only nine am but there's probably something we can do," he asked, looking towards me.

"I should get going soon, you're probably sick of me by now and I left my apartment a mess," I laughed.

"You sure? I can drop you off later?"

"It's fine, thank you though."

He walked me to his car before starting it up. The ride was fairly short, only the light music could be heard. It wasn't awkward which I appreciated. He pulled up to my house and I thanked him before stepping out of his car.

"Last night was fun. I hope we can do it again sometime," he said after walking me to the door.

"Yeah, thanks again, Grayson. You didn't have to do all that for me."

"I wanted to."

We just stared at each other. It felt like ages before he leaned in and I felt myself leaning in as well. His lips came in contact with mine and I felt volts throughout my body. Butterflies were causing a storm inside my stomach. The feeling felt so foreign, so good.

He pulled away with a sparkle in his eye and he could probably hear my heart beating.

"See you later, Raelynn."

"Bye, Grayson," I lightly waved with a smile permanently stuck on my face.

I just kissed Grayson.
