+ raelynn's pov

I woke up, rubbing my eyes in attempt to wake me up. I reached for my phone, scrolling through the few notifications from Grayson and my mom.

grayson
morning princess

i'm leaving for work soon but i wanted to say good morning.

come to my place at 3, i miss you :(

i love you ❤️

raelynn
good morning, baby

i'll see you soon, have a good day at work!

i love you too <3

Grayson's messages brought a warm smile to my face. I read through the messages from my mom but decided to call her instead.

momma 💞
good morning, my love. i was gonna call but you were probably still asleep. but i'm coming back to LA for a few days!

see you soon, rae!

I called her contact, hearing the many rings until she finally answered.

"Hey, mom!" I beamed.

"Hello, Rae! How are you, my dear? I assume you got my messages?"

"I'm doing alright, and yeah I did. I miss you, though," I frowned, "I can't wait to see you."

"I miss you too, but I'll see you very, very soon. I'm actually packing right now," she laughed.

"I'll let you get on with that. I love you, mom."

"I love you too, baby."

I ended the call, scrolling through my contacts. My finger hovered over Addison's contact, debating whether or not I wanted to call her. All night, I couldn't stop thinking about what happened. She's my best friend, at the end of the day, and I'm meant to be there for her, even if she does have feelings for my boyfriend.

Finally, I decided to get out of bed to get ready for the day. I looked at my reflection in the mirror, seeing my very messy hair and red face. Walking into the bathroom, I turned the water on, preparing for a shower.

I sat on my sofa, with nothing but the TV and my phone to entertain me. I wouldn't mind being at work right now, considering how bored I was.

I checked the time, seeing it read 2.36pm. Becoming annoyed of watching the same show on TV, I decided to head to the store to buy anything I could find for Grayson.

Grabbing my phone and keys, I walked out the door, hopping into my car.

As I drove, Addison couldn't get out of my mind. This argument really has me thinking. She wouldn't throw our entire friendship away, would she? We promised each other nothing would ever get in the way between us.

I let out a long breath, in attempts to relax myself. I shouldn't be too worried about this. Hopefully, she comes to her senses and we can sort it out.
