The darkness from the room I was in was open.
Lord Carnavan and Lady Catherine were in their chambers discussing matters I had no business interfering in. They informed my parents that I was fine.
How did they know of them I had not a clue?; I was without a clue-the only problem I knew of was that Vampires had had supernatural powers, and use them to make humans be informed that children were fine-and that norhing will happen, because they were in control; I wasn't in control, and that made my problem worse-not better.
Now, as I opened the infernal door I saw a beautiful girl.
She smiled at me. Her black gown glided along the ground; her grey boots glided my way; her yellow shawl wrapped around her small breasts. And she was pale. Her short, curly hair was in the gloom; her red colored eyes were focused on me.
In short, she was eyeing me up and down.
"Sir, ?".
"Forgive me, M'Lady, I'm Simon Darlinghurst, the new guest of Lady Catherine and Lord Carnavan. And your name is...", I asked.
