After the dinner the rest of the week flew by and before you knew it Jensen was dropping you off at the airport so you could go home. You loved spending time with Jensen and was sad to leave him, but you'd be lying if you said you weren't relieved to go home. It was awkward spending time in the same house as Jensen's soon to be ex wife and his kids though you put up with it for Jensen.
Your thoughts were interrupted by the ringing of your phone, glancing at it you see Jensen's name on the screen. Picking up the phone you take deep breaths before putting it to your ear and speaking, “hey babe.”
“Hey beautiful. I was just calling to see how your flight was,” you hear Jensen's ask over the line.
“The flight was good, I'm kind of glad to be home,” you begin to explain before you realize what you're saying.
“You didn't have a good time this week?” He sounds more than hurt when he asks you this and you know you can't lie to him so instead you take a deep breath and prepare what to say next.
“It's not that Jen, I had an amazing time with you. The kids are amazing and I love them already too, it's just that it was kind of awkward,” you say in a whisper by the end.
“I dont get how-” He begins only to be cut off.
“Because I was staying at your house with your soon to be ex wife and you, and last I checked I was just a friend to them so yeah it's awkward I'm sorry.”
“Y/n why didn't you tell me while you were there?” Jensen asks softly.
“You were so happy about me being there I didn't want to ruin it,” you mumble.
“You expressing how you felt wouldn't have ruined it y/n, we need to talk for our relationship to work.”
“I know,” you sigh trying to ease your growing nerves. You never wanted this to turn into an argument and now you were regretting even speaking about it, “can we just forget I mentioned it I really didn't want to fight about it.”
“We're not fighting about it we're talking like adults. You have to tell me when you're uncomfortable so I can try and help fix it, if I knew that was how you felt I would have stayed at a hotel with you,” Jensen sighs.
“You shouldn't have to spend time in a hotel with me when I come to see you-”
“So what am I supposed to do then y/n because you don't like spending time at my house either,” he says annoyed, completely cutting me off.
“I am comfortable there, when it was you and I we had a great time and when it was us and the kids it was amazing two. But in sorry Jensen I can't pretend to be okay staying in the house with your ex wife.”
“We decided to keep the kids as far out of it as possible so me moving right now isn't an option. I'm sorry but you have to stop acting like a child and get over the fact that we live together still.”
You don't answer him right away instead you take in the fact he threw your age into this, even when he knew that it was an issue for you he still had to go to that point. You heard him start to speak again but you cut him off, “if I act like such a child maybe we shouldn't do this Jensen,” you whisper in attempt to hide the waver in your voice.
“Y/n-”
“No Jensen. I don't want to hear it, not right now I need some time to myself,” you mumble before you click ‘end call’ not bothering to hear his response.
‘Was it really childish of you to be affected by staying under the same roof as her?’ You thought as you slouched onto your couch fighting back the tears that welled up in your eyes. You regretted speaking up about it the moment the first few words slipped past your lips. You loved your stay the house was beautiful, the kids were amazing, and Jared and Gen were the absolute best company to be around. But at the same time every time you seen Danneel you remembered what they used to have and he is with her all the time because of the kids, all you could think was that he would leave you for her or they'd fall back in love.
Eventually you forced the tears back and cleaned the few that slipped before getting everything straightened for work the next day. You also had to sort out where you stood with Jensen after the phone call, but that was the last thing you wanted to think about so instead you went on Twitter. You regretted it the moment you entered the app, article after article about Jensen's affair and about the mystery girl seen with him over the past week. There was pictures of us entering and leaving the house with him, going to meet Jared and Gen, taking the kids out. All of them followed by an article about how you were the girl Jensen had and affair with, that you ruined their marriage and now you were taking over Danneel's place. None of it was true and every picture they had was out of context, Danneel was very present the whole time and the way it was being shown you were the bad guy in the whole thing.
You knew it was going to be hard coming into this relationship but it was beginning to turn into so much more than that now and you don't know how much more that you can take. Closing the app you put your phone down deciding that ignoring it all is best for now, instead you head to the bathroom to clean the past weeks stress off of you. After the water ran cold you made your way to your room where you slipped under the cover and fell asleep trying to figure out what you do next, never once checking your phone.
