ALLISON'S POV:
I woke up this morning, and noticed that Matt was still asleep. He looked so peaceful. I had begun to notice that he was growing more and more stressed lately, but I was too. In a week, the tour would end, and we would all be going home. I had no clue what that meant for Matt and I, and I had yet to mention it to him. I needed to bring it up soon though, because I needed to mentally prepare myself for whatever decision Matt and I made together. I guess while I had spaced out, Matt had woken up.
"Good morning, A," Matt said in his morning voice.
Oh my gosh, his morning voice! I could never get enough of it. Heck, I couldn't get enough of Matt. I decided then and there that I was going to cherish and enjoy this last week that I had with Matt.
"Morning Matty-boo," I said, bending down to give him a kiss on the cheek.
"Do you have any plans today?" Matt asked me.
"No, since it's a day off, I decided that I would see what I felt like doing. Do you?"
"Nah, how about we go on a date? We haven't had much time, just the two of us lately, and I promise it'll be nothing over the top. We could go to an amusement park that isn't very far away."
I smiled. "That sounds perfect. Let me go and get ready."
After I got ready and Matt got ready, the two of us told everyone that we were taking off and telling them where we were going, just in case fans found us and we needed rescuing. The two of us got into the shared Magcon car and started driving. Without meaning to, I kept staring at Matt and thinking of how much things were going to change in just seven days.
MATTHEW'S POV:
I knew as soon as I woke up, something was up with Allison. She isn't really one to initiate affection or PDA, yet as soon as I woke up, I got a kiss on the cheek. I let it go and chalked it up to her being excited that we had a day off. I suggested that we should go on a date, because the two of us hadn't had much alone time. Allison seemed extremely happy and ran off to go and get ready.
I knew that something was up with her though, and I immediately started thinking about anything that I had done wrong. She had loved the anniversary video...so I figured that that couldn't be it. I knew that I had been hanging out with the guys a bit more, but she had gotten to have girl time with Claire, which she enjoyed. That's when it finally hit me. The tour was ending and things weren't set in stone. Allison was a girl who liked plans and plans that were 100% certain. She didn't like not knowing things. The tour ending and our relationship being fairly new was probably making her freak out. Not that I blamed her, I was nervous too. I didn't know what was going to happen. But I knew better than to push things with Allison and decided that it'd be best if I waited for her to bring it up.
When we arrived at the amusement park, I opened her door and grabbed her hand.
"Where should we go first, A?" I asked her.
"Um...I've never been on a roller coaster before so maybe we could go on one of those first?"
I looked at her, shocked. "You've never been on a roller coaster?"
"Nope," she said with a shake of her head. "Haven't been on a ferris wheel either. My family isn't big on thrill rides or heights, so I've never really had any desire to go on one by myself."
I smiled at her. "Well then I would love to take you on your first roller coaster."
Yeah, me taking her on her first roller coaster didn't go so well. The park made the lines confusing and I accidently had us get in line for the scariest roller coaster there instead of the more mild one. By the time I had figured that out, it was a little late, but Allison said she would still try it. I'm pretty sure I lost hearing capibilities for about twenty minutes after that ride. We decided to go on some water rides and some of the milder ones before going on any more "scary rides". After we rode the ferris wheel, the two of us decided that we should eat.
After we got our food and sat down, Allison spaced out again. I decided to bring up what was up with her. I waved my hand in front of her face, but I didn't get a response. I snapped my finger and that seemed to do the trick.
"Huh? Sorry, I must've spaced out," Allison said, looking at me guiltily.
"What's been up with you, A? You've been off all day."
She gave me a quick half-smile before replying. "Nothing, I guess I'm just kind of tired is all."
"That's a lie and we both know it. Tell me what's really up. I want to help you."
Allison sighed. "I don't know if you can..."
"Is this about the tour ending?"
"Partially..."
"Is the other part dealing with our relationship?"
Allison nodded her head, before looking me in the eyes. "What's going to happen to us, Matt? I'm scared."
I sighed. "Honestly? I have no clue what's going to happen between the two of us. What do you want? It's your call because I want you to be happy."
"I don't know," Allison said sadly. "I don't really have experience with long distance relationships. But I've heard a lot of them don't work out, which terrifies me because I don't want to lose you. But, I'll lose you if we break up at the end of the tour. Matt, I'm going to lose you either way and I don't want that to happen."
I noticed that tears were falling and I hated seeing Allison cry. It broke my heart. I needed to make her feel safe. "Hey now, you're not going to lose me. So there's some distance between us. They invented phones for a reason. We can FaceTime, text, call each other. We can make this work, A. I believe in us, do you?"
Allison took a deep breath. "Yeah I believe in us Matt. You really think we can do this?"
"It's just a couple months and then we'll get to see each other in person again. I like this relationship too much to just let it go because of a little distance."
Allison smiled at me. "So do I. I want to see where things between us go, even if I don't like being unsure of the future. But I trust you that it'll be worth it in the end, Matt."
"Good, because you mean way too much to me to let you slip through my fingers."
ALLISON'S POV:
I was more at ease knowing that we both agreed to try and make this relationship work. I was extremely thankful that Matt wasn't willing to give up without a fight because I felt myself falling for him more and more each day, and it seemed like he was feeling the same way.
