<Sam POV>

But I don't remember you

The words rang through my head as I heard them escape her mouth and I gently kissed her hand.

"You will soon babe, you will soon." I said trying to hold back the flood of tears expecting to escape.

"Can I go home?" Hazel asked and the doctor furrowed his eyebrows. "Can you please tell me what you do know?" He asked and I couldn't help but roll my eyes, his was annoying as heck.

"I have my own home. I am friends with all these people. I think including him." She pointed to me and I sighed again. "I feel like I live really close to you all." She said smiling and we nodded.

"Well, okay. I think you can. Let me just go over your chart and you can leave in about 30 minutes. Everyone will have to leave except for one person to check her out." I rose my hand to check her out before anyone else could.

She gave me a sad smile and everyone left, including the doctor. I was all alone with Hazel and I couldn't remind her about people she knew or anything.

"Sam." She sighed and I looked up at her, I noticed the tears streaming down her face and I was immediately concerned. I held onto her hand securely and she looked over at me. "I'm sorry I can't remember you, I wish you could tell me what I am to you. I'm scared."

I bit my lip and wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her body towards me as she wrapped her arms around my neck.

Her touch gave me warmth through my body and it made me tingle. She was just so perfect and I couldn't let her go, I just couldn't.

She pulled away and I sat back down in my chair and eyed her appearance. "I'm 18." She said smiling and I chuckled.

"Good job. Keep talking to me, Hazel. I want to be here every step of the way for you to regain your memory." I held onto her hand and she gave me a smile.

"I'm Hazel Monet, I'm 18..." She groaned and threw her head into her pillow. "Why can't I remember you. Why can't I remember what I'm supposed to?" She cried out and I stood up and put my hands on her shoulders.

"Please give it time."

"Mr.Potorff." The doctor signaled for me and I walked out the door to him.

"You can help her with her memory by bringing her to familiar places, okay? That will help." He looked down at the wheelchair in front of him and pushed it to me. "You can wheel her out of here, she should be able to get out of this by tomorrow."

I nodded and wheeled the chair into the room where Hazel was. "C'mon, babe. Let's go." I sighed and steadied the wheelchair by her bed. I took out her IV and helped her up.

"Easy, easy..." I whispered and she slipped, I caught her by the waist as her arms were securely on my upper arms. I gazed into her eyes and she blinked a couple of times.

"I-I'm sorry, Sam." She sighed as she got into the wheelchair and I chuckled. "That's fine, Haze. It's fine." I wheeled her out of the room and saw Dakota and Levi.

"Hazel!!" He shouted and I bit my lip, I knew she wouldn't remember him and I was worried about how crushed he would be.

"Hi Levi." Hazel said and my mouth hung open. "You remember him?" She looked up at me and gave me a small nod.

"He is your brother." She smiled and I kissed her cheek. "You're getting better every minute, Hazel."

I thought it was cute how Hazel let Levi stay in her lap while she was in the wheelchair. We wheeled her to my car and I helped her into the back seat with Levi.

"The bad people are gone." Levi said smiling and I furrowed my eyebrows. What bad people?

"That's good, Levi." Hazel smiled and then sighed. "I remember my Mom is probably in that hospital." Hazel pointed back to the hospital she was just in as we drove off.

"Anything else you remember Hazel?" Dakota asked with too much hope in her voice and Hazel sighed.

"I know that you're my crazy weird best friend." She giggled and Dakota laughed.

"YES BITCH!" She yelled and I couldn't help but laugh along with my sister. I sighed and focused on the road again when jealously boiled up.

Why does she remember so much about everyone else and I'm not even in her memory? I wish I could tell her everything about us, but I just couldn't.

"You okay Sam?" I looked back over to Dakota and gave her a smile. "Oh and Sam?" Dakota asked nervously and began to fiddle with her fingers as we pulled up to the house.

"I-uh... Let's say I like one of your friends-"

"If you like Connor, I approve and I promise I won't say anything." I chuckled and she kissed my cheek.

"Love you Sammie!" She giggled and I rolled my eyes as we stepped out of the car.

"I know this place! We had my 18th party here." Hazel smiled and my chest filled with guilt about that night.

"D-do you remember anything from that night?" I bit my lip and she shook her head. "No, I don't. That's my house I think?" She looked over to the white colored house next door and I nodded.

I set up her wheel chair and she groaned. "I think I can walk!" She smiled and stood up out of the car. She took a couple steps into the grass and fell over.

"Hazel!" I gasped and she rolled over laughing, I've never seen her this happy. Must've been the drugs they put her under.

"I'm sorry!" She said in between laughs. "I guess i do need that wheel chair." I smiled at her and she sighed.

"I need you." I mumbled under my breath as I pushed her inside her house.
