I skated down quickly down the road and noticed Jc trying to skate past me.

"Can't beat me!" He shouted and I laughed as I rolled into my driveway and kicked my board up to my hand.

"You live right next door!" Sam exclaimed smiling and I nodded.

"Heyyyy! We never got your name!" Kian pointed out and I chuckled.

"I'm Hazel Monet." I smiled and Jc's jaw dropped and I gave him a funny look.

"You're name is beautiful." He said smiling and I blushed. I yawned and looked at my phone clock, reading saying it was 10:27pm.

"I think I better get to sleep. I have to find a job this week, might as well start tomorrow." I sighed and turned a heel.

"It was really nice meeting you!" Ricky yelled and I smiled.

"How old are you?" I heard Sam mutter loudly and i got a big grin across my face.

"17"

His face plastered a grin and he ran back over next door with Jc, Kian, and Ricky.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*

I felt light burning my face and I groaned. I rolled over and felt myself hit the floor.

I heard chuckling and my eyes stayed shut. "If you're the angel of death, I'm ready." I sighed and let one eye open to see the purple haired boy from yesterday.

"Angel of death is pretty damn cute." I smiled and my eyes shot open wide and noticed Sam blushing.

"Erm..... Uhm... Did I say that? I'm sorry, I was sleepy and ugh..." I ran my fingers through my hair and I noticed Jc, Kian, and Ricky there too. Snickering at what I just said.

"How did you-"

"Door was unlocked." Kian smiled and I rolled my eyes. "Why are you here?" I asked pushing myself off the floor and standing up stretching.

I completely forgot I was only in a shirt with pink, lace underwear. I pulled my shirt down quickly when I noticed them look, but it didn't do much.

"Nice panties." Kian chuckled and I rolled my eyes blushing. I quickly walked over to my drawer as I listened to them whisper things I couldn't quite catch.

"You do?" I heard Ricky laugh and turned around to see Sam blushing and he hit Ricky's arm and I put my hand on my hip after I pulled my Hollister shorts up.

"Obviously this is about me and I prefer you to continue this conversation out of my home?" It came out more as a question but I really didn't care."I really have to go and find a job anyways." I added.

"We want to have some fun with you today! Can't you look for a job tomorrow?" Kian whined.

"Yeah! We want to play some games and show you around." Sam smiled and I couldn't resist.

"Alright fine!" I giggled and I noticed Kian looked up and down my left arm at my tattoos.

"You like?" I asked examining my arm and he smiled. "How many tattoos do you have? Whoa wait, how old are you again?" Kian asked.

"I'm 17"

"How the heck did you get those then!?" I laughed, remembering you have to be 18 to get tattoos and such.

"Haven't you guys heard of fake ID?" I chuckled and Jc's eyes widened. "Whoa guys, we've gotta badass ov'r here!"

"I've got 10 tattoos by the way. On my left arm I have this peace sign, tiger paw, quote, initials, date, palm tree, and running horse." I pointed and they nodded and I moved to my right arm.

"I have a big flower design here on my shoulder." I pointed to colors of it, taking up my whole shoulder with the multiple colors of the flowers. "I have this heart monitor thing on my wrist, and the word SPIRIT on my hip here." I smiled.

"And here is where the questions come into play." Ricky chuckled and I rolled my eyes and sat on the floor as I watched them join me.

"What's the quote say?" Ricky asked and I looked at it to refresh my memory.

"Live Simply So Others Can Simply Live"

"I got it because this guy on vine or whatever said it and it stuck with me." I smiled and Jc chuckled

"Matt? Matt Espinsoa? I love that guy! He's a great friend of mine. You'll have to meet him." He smiled a toothy grin and I nodded slowly.

"What about the initials and the date?" Kian pointed to my left arm again and I sighed deeply.

"The initials are my parents and the date is when my father died a couple years ago." I half smiled and their faces dropped.

"I-I-we didn't know, Hazel." Kian looked at the floor and I smiled. "Kian, it's fine. It really is guys, I can talk about it easily. It doesn't hurt anymore." I noticed Sam's eyes soften when I told him this and he have me a sad smile.

"And-and the heart monitor was he last heartbeat. When he told me he loved me and said goodbye." I smiled widely and teared up.

"I thought I was over this." I wiped my eyes and rushed to the bathroom and splashed some water on my face. I dried off my face with a towel and noticed Sam by the bathroom door.

"I think you need a Portorff hug." He said referring to his last name and chuckled at himself. I wrapped my arms around his neck securely and he held my small body tightly against his.

"The boys and I are always here. No matter what. We are always here." Sam repeated in my ear and I felt at peace for the first time these couple days.

I slowly pulled away after a moment, but I kept my arms around Sam's neck and his hands settled on my waist.

"So uhm..." He started off, looking at his hands on my waist and back up at me.

"Where's your mom? Shouldn't you live with her? You're only 17." Sam chuckled and I sighed.

"I had a fight with her back home." I started off and Sam looked at the guys, and back at me.

"Hazel, can we take this conversation upstairs?" Sam pleaded and I nodded as he hand settled on my lower back, easing me out of the door.

I walked up the stairs and settled down on a bean bag as Sam did the same next to me. I gathered my thoughts and began to wonder if I could really trust Sam with all of this new information I haven't told another living soul.

Sam would probably think I'm overreacting or something. Or he will think I'm some dumb bitch.

"Will you tell me?" Sam asked moving himself so he was flat on his stomach facing me on the beanbag. I brought my legs up so I was sitting Indian style and I took a big breath.

"I got in a fight with my mom. We were downstairs and she was having her 2nd glass of wine and I rolled my eyes watching this take place. She asked me if I found out anything else about my fathers death and I shook my head no. She expected me to know all of these things and it was stressing me out, she yelled at me and hit me a couple times. She told me I was worthless and she said she wished I was the one dead and not my dad..."

I choked up at the last part and let a couple tears fall while Sam's mouth was dropped open.

"Find out about what about your dad's death? Was he killed?"

"By cancer. My mom didn't understand how to prevent it or the symptoms and such, y'know?" I sniffled and giggled.

"What's so funny?"

"I'm so stupid. I don't know why I am crying over this."

"I would be to if my own mother wished I was dead instead of my father, Hazel." Sam said wearily and I couldn't help but let the ends of my mouth turn upwards.

"What mother wouldn't want to have you as their son?"
