Christmas

I woke up to the sound of light Christmas music and I smiled. I opened my eyes and Sam was no longer next to me, I groaned and looked next to me.

I turned my phone on and checked the time.

10:47am

I stretched and slipped my phone in my jeans pocket. "Sam?" I said loudly, no one was in the sleeping bags and I saw the O2L boys, Lia, Dakota, and Levi at the table.

"You owe me 10 bucks, Kian." Trevor smirked and I furrowed my eyebrows. "We expected you to say Sam's name as soon as you woke up." Ricky shrugged and I watched Kian through a 10 dollar bill at Trevor.

I rolled my eyes and sighed, "I'm going to get comfy clothes on." I said and with that I walked out the door to my house.

I went to my room and changed into sweatpants, I left my tank too and sweatshirt on. I brushed through my hair and put it up in a messy bun.

I brushed my teeth quickly and gurgled my mouth wash. I spit it out in the sink and rinsed again with water, I fixed my eye makeup and added applied 'Baby Lips.'

I pulled out a couple strands from my messy bun to shape my face when I heard the doorbell ring and Blue bark.

"Coming!" I shouted and slipped on my uggs before going to the door.

"Yes?" I said while opening the door and my mouth hung open as I saw who was on the other side.

"Hi sweetie." The dark haired lady said with tears, she actually had makeup on and didn't look like a drunken bitch.

"Why are you here, Mom." It came out more as a statement but that was perfectly fine with me.

"Listen, I'm sorry about everything I've done. I'm not drunk, i-I've stopped drinking and got help." She said looking at the ground and pushed her hair from her face.

My stern face softened and I held back the smile that wanted to appear on my face.

"I know you have terminal cancer, I know you and Sam are together, and I know I really love you, Hazel." She said looking into my eyes and even tears began to pour down her face.

I pulled her in for a hug, the first hug we have had in 2 years. I let her cry on my shoulder as I held back the tears so my mascara wouldn't run.

"I love you too, Mom." I said hugging her still and she let out a sigh of relief.

"I have to get to work now," I let the smile creep onto my face. She hasn't worked since dad died, I still don't know how we had a house. "But I'll come by again some other time. I hope." She sighed again and I nodded.

I watched her go to her tattered SUV and I walked back over to the O2L house and decided to keep the moment I had with my mother to myself.

I walked in and everyone was anxiously sitting on the couch when Trevor jumped up.

"She's here!! Present time!" He shouted and I rolled my eyes. I sat next to Sam and Levi crawled into my lap.

"Don't you want to open your presents?" I asked Levi and he shrugged. "Trevor has to go first." He answered and I glared at Trevor who just shrugged.

I just chuckled as I watched Trevor, Kian, Jc, and Ricky go crazy with opening their presents.

Levi was still sitting on my lap as Trevor opened his last present. "Go and open your presents, Levi." Sam poked his side and Levi let out a giggle before crawled off of me and sitting next to Connor on the floor.

"What did you get him?" I asked Sam as I curled up to him. "You know," he started off and put his arm around my shoulders securely, "Some race cars and a couple bandanas. What did you get him?" Sam asked and I shrugged.

"A race car track." I chuckled and he pulled me into his chest. I watched Levi jump around in excitement with the presents Sam and I got him as well as the rest of the boys, plus Lia and Dakota.

"Hazel, you haven't opened any of your presents!" Lia huffed and I chuckled. "I'm not into presents." I sighed and everyone pulled a pouty face.

"I'll help you." Levi said and took my hand, pulling me to the floor. I huffed and he handed me Jc's present.

I tore away the wrapping to see an acid washed sweatshirt with a white cloud in the middle that had his last name, or logo on it.

"Thank you Jc. It's wonderful." I gave him a hug and began to open Kian's present.

It was a big book of quotes, pictures of me with the boys, me at parties, me with Lia, Andrea, or Dakota or all three. I flipped through the book and smiled.

"I love this." I said hugging Kian and he chuckled. "Good cause I made it." I smiled again and Levi handed me Lia's present to me.

She got me a simple BFF necklace that was really pretty. Dakota got me a pair of white sandals which I can say are amazing!

"OPEN MINE." Trevor demanded and I chuckled. I opened the long rectangular box and I threw my hand over my mouth.

"Trevor! How much did it cost you to buy me a guitar?" I said examining the wood of it. I noticed black scribbles on it and laughed.

"I signed it so it's worth something." He shrugged and everyone laughed at him. I gave Trevor a big hug and opened up Connors present.

"Oh my gosh!" I laughed at the pillows he gave me. They were plush pillows of social media icons. The twitter bird, the Instagram camera, the tumblr T, the word YouTube, and the Vine icon.

I rolled my eyes and smiled day Connor. "Thank you." I was happy when Ricky gave me a MacBook which surprised me, though he probably got it off Amazon.

Finally it came down to Sam's gift and there was a note on top of the box.

Hazel,

Merry Christmas. : ) I love you with all my heart and honestly I've never been more in love with someone... I actually don't think I've ever really felt love, I never thought I could get so attached to someone. I'll tell you one thing, you're beautiful. Inside and out you're beautiful and you get more beautiful everyday. Hope you like your present, baby xxx

I teared up at the note and I opened up the medium sized box. I smiled at the picture of me, Sam, and Blue all in one picture with a silver frame around it. It had small words at the bottom of the frame that said 'Family.'

I noticed a smaller box at the bottom and I opened it to reveal a ring that said 'Promise.'

I looked over at Sam with some tears and he crawled over next to me. "It's a promise ring, you see?" He said softly and I nodded as he held up his hand with the Sam ring around his ring finger.

"Do you promise to love me and never leave me?" He asked and my breath hitched. "Hazel." He said taking the ring and holding my hand.

"I promise." I said letting a tear fall and he slipped the ring on my finger and I hugged him tightly. Everyone in the room clapped and Trevor started to wall twerk which made me laugh.

"I gotta celebrate!" Trevor said while his ass moved around and I laughed into Sam's shoulder. I gazed into Sam's eyes and we just shared a quiet moment before sharing a short kiss.

"I love you." Sam whispered so it was only audible for me to hear. "I love you, too." I whispered and he smiled widely.

After going through over 2 dozen presents and talking about nothing, it was 2:00pm and we had absolutely nothing to do.

"Who wants to get lunch?" Jc asked and Trevor and I raised our foots while everyone else raised their hands lazily.

"McDonalds!"

"Chipotle!"

"Starbucks!"

"Whataburger!"

"Chinese!"

"Dairy Queen!"

"Burger King!"

"Sonic!"

Everyone groaned because we couldn't agree on what restaurant until I smirked.

"Taco Bell it is."
