A large cloud of smoke left a tipsy yoongis chapped lips. It felt as though flowers of his cold and forgotten past, bloomed wherever the smoke graced him with its sweet sweet burn. And although they were beautiful, he couldn't fucking breathe.
He took another long shot of his cigarette, sighing as he felt his lungs fill up with the cancerous substance he'd grown familiar with since he was 15. These kind of pastimes; smoking and alcohol, held him in their arms and softly rocked him out of the pain that crippled him at his tender age.
He'd stopped about a month into his habits... because Y/n found out. She took a promise from him. Yoongi remembers the day Crystal clear
A soft frown laced her lips as she pulled the cigarette from his lips and threw it to the ground, immediately crushing it into ashes with her foot. He looked at her shocked and noticed that tears had formed in her eyes as she pulled out the whole box and lighter, from the pocket of his school uniforms pants and chucked them accross the street from where he'd been standing.
Her small hands clenched into tight fists at her side as she looked down at her feet, almost shaking with fury. She slowly looked up at Yoongi's dumbfounded yet, so in awe, face and gulped.
"I would've kissed you if your breath didn't smell like shit right now." She said through clenched teeth.
At this Yoongis eyebrows slightly raised in confusion.
They both stared into each others eyes for a few quiet, yet not silent, moments before Yoongi said, "uh... I... I'm sorry Y/n... I... I'll try to stop... this" the boy softly stuttered under the girls cold gaze.
"You fucking better, Our else we're done... and that is most definitely a threat bitch."
A small unnoticeable smile made it's way on his lips at the memory. He'd stopped after that... well until the incident sent his life into a unending spiral of misery. When she left, so did the promise.
Unbeknowest to Y/n, his mind had been lingering on her ever since that day at the café. Seeing her after all those years had set something ablaze in him. She'd flipped something like a switch.
He took another long puff, blowing the smoke out slowly, truly smothering his thoughts in the burn.
He flinched slightly as a hand made its way from beside his face and grabbed the cigarette from his mouth, all that whiskey had honestly numbed down his senses. The butd soon met it's demise as it was tossed over the balcony.
From the corner of his eye, yoongi recognised the male as Jimin.
"Goddamnit! As much as I hate you and hoseok hyung, I don't want yous dying because, me doing my own laundry?... now that's an absurd thought." Jimin said completely serious, a soft scowl on his face, "how many times have I told you hyung? Stop fucking smoking... it's really not gonna do good. There are a thousands of ways to relieve stress aight' "
"I'd rather not indulge in a different woman everyday just to relieve stress..." yoongi replied in a mocking tone.
"Whatever... what's wrong though? You seem a little down, where's the fun and bubbly yoongi that I know of huh?" Jimin questioned, sarcasm lacing his tone.
A small inconspicuous smile was seen on the older males face before it vanished within the twinkle of an eye. Jimin soon caught feelings radiating off his friends disheartened face and decided it was one of 'those' talks.
Any intention at mockery or humour immediately ceased.
They both stood in the comfortable quiet. The loose strands of their dyed hair flowing in the early winter breeze. Their eyes drunk in the scenic view of the skyline of Seoul, a place that unconsciously held so much pain and happiness to the both of them. The bright lights against the dark empty sky created a gorgeous contrast.
