At the end of the day I run home. Most people walk but I really don't want to get intercepted by...well you know.
I unlock my house with my keys, my mum works till late and I haven't seen my dad since I was about 2. I don't have any pets. I sit at kitchen table to do my homework, it is meant to last me a week but I always finish it by Monday. Yeah I am so much of a loner I can finish my home work. In about 1 and a half hours I finish my homework and go to play minecraft.
I have a five story house made of diamond on my iPod. I play minecraft for around 30 minutes until I get bored there is only so much mining you can do before your fingers start to hurt. It is about 5:30 now and Mum isn't home till 8 so I start to clean.
I clean my room and I mean properly (not just shoving the stuff under my bed) vacuuming and everything! Then I start to make dinner. Spaghetti.
By the time I hear an impatient *beeeep* I have finished dinner, brushed my teeth, gotten changed into my pjs, washed my plate and put it in the dishwasher. I sigh and go to open the garage door for my mum. She couldn't just do it herself. It's only about 10 steps but no she is too lazy to do such a thing. "Coming!"
I open the garage door and she zooms in nearly running over my foot. Shes in a bad mood I can see that already. She isn't going to want to talk to me except for shouting orders at me. I sigh and go over to open her door. I open it lightly pulling it open it a graceful swoop but half way through she snaps and pushes the door into my shin making me yelp in pain. Now most mothers would suddenly burst into a string of apologies but not mine; "Suck it up and get out of the way!" is all she says. I run off into the kitchen to heat her dinner up. As a do so the pain in my shin causes silent tears to slide down my cheeks. My mother comes in and sees my cheeks glistening with salt water and becomes angry. She comes over and for a second I think she's going to give me a hug so I was shocked when a felt a hard slap hit me across the face, I splutter. "You have no right to cry what you have to put up with is nothing compared to what I had to do!" She screamed her eyes black with anger. "You are worthless!" she hit me hard towards the back of the head "Lazy!" and pushed me down onto the floor making me bang me head on the bench "and" she continued "a complete waste of space!" She stormed off leaving me in a crumpled ball on the floor. The microwave beeped as if to stick up for me but it was too late, the damage was done.
I spent the rest of the night creeping silently around the house following my mothers orders. At around 11 o'clock was when she went to bed and I could finally breathe again. It was only until I heard her snoring that I thought it was safe for me to cry.
I barely got any sleep that night. The thumping of my head and the sting of Lola and Mum's words swirled around my head like a storm slowly consuming my whole body with fear.
