This Is Me

Movie Night

We're in our classroom, I can't focus on my work because all my mind can think about is Natsu. I'm scared of what will happen to us, if it'll break us, or if we do get closer. I'm so very confused, do I even want this to happen, or am I being taken advantage of... Natsu would never take advantage of me.. would he?
"Lucy Heartfilia!"
"huh yes.. sorry"
"Focus on the lesson or else you get detention!"
"Sorry sir.."
Erza leans in and asked if I was okay, I whispered back that I'll talk to her after school. I look over to Natsu who was staring at me and he gives me a smile with a wink.. I felt my face get hot and I quickly took my gaze off him and focused it on the board where the teacher was.

I meet Erza by our tree after school and tell her what happened with Natsu.
"i knew he liked you, and you didn't believe me."
"Well how could I! I was being in denial because he's my best friend! Should I even be open with 'us' like he said?"
"Lucy, I think you're thinking to much into it. Plus you guys have the advantage, you know everything about each other and I believe you have feelings for him as well."
"Why do you say that?"
"Because you do things like any other couple would do, and you do it without thinking about it. It just comes natural to you guys."
"Like what?"
"Holding hands, most likely cuddling I believe, sitting next to each other, moving in with each other.."
"soooo..."
"Best friends don't do that, we don't do that!"
"But we're both girls.."
"If Natsu was a girl, would you do the same thing?"
"Probably not.."
"you like him Lucy, just face it. Do you ever have perverted thoughts? Do you ever think he's hot? Does he make you blush? All the signs are there that you like him just as much as he likes you."
From the distance I hear somebody call my name..
"I'm guessing that's your cue, bye Lucy!" Erza and I give each other hugs goodbye and I meet up with the pink haired boy who was calling my name.
"Ready to go home Luce!?"
"Of course!"
"Shall we?" He hands out his hand to me and I answered it with mine by intertwining our finger together. He kisses the top of my hand and I speak
"We shall." With a slight blush on my face, Natsu smiles and we begin to walk home.

We're home and both of us set our stuff down in our designated rooms.
"Hey Luce, can I make dinner tonight?"
"Uh sure, of course you can."
"Sweet get ready to eat in about an hour or so!" Natsu is all jittery and excited that he's cooking for me..
"I'll be looking forward to it."
I go to my room for the time being to do my homework. I don't have much, just some math and history homework. 2o minutes into doing my homework I hear a knock.
"Come in Natsu." His face is hung low and he looks sad. "What's up?"
"I need your help.."
"Hahah okay!" I laugh and he looks up to me with his sad face. We walk to the kitchen and I see a huge mess. "What were you planning on cooking?!"
"Umm, a breaded chicken breast.."
"Okay why don't we clean up a bit and I'll tell you each step."
"Alright.."

With direction and a little bit of help, Natsu made us dinner and it was really good. I was washing the dishes when Natsu put his arms around my waist from behind. He places his chin onto my shoulder and gently put his lips against my neck.
"Hi Natsu."
"hi Luce."
"What are you doing?"
"Watching you clean the dishes."
"Why silly?" I chuckled
"Because I like holding you"
"Okay hehe.." i finished my last dish, I turn around only to face Natsu. He's so close, I could feel his breath against me.
"Well hi there" he laughs a little bit while still holding me, but this time his hands are on my waist, i can feel my face heat up a little bit as well.
"What do you want to do now?" I nervously spoke
"Let's watch a movie in my room."
"Alright." Woah my heart is beating so fast.. i watch him leave the kitchen, i dry my hands and follow him after.
I watch him put the DVD in and sit on the bed.
"Whatcha waiting for? Come here!" I walk into his room more and sit in the corner of his bed.
"What are we watching Natsu?"
"We are watching a movie!"
"I know that haha!"
"It's a surprise!" He hits the play button and lies his head onto my lap. His whole body is in between my legs facing the tv. While the previews are playing, I play with his hair and put my finger through it, his hair is so soft I love how it just spikes up. I stop for a moment and Natsu looks up at my me. "Why'd you stop?"
"Oh I don't know."
"Keep doing it, I like it." He smiles at me, his smile is contagious so I smile back.

45 minutes later we were still watching the movie, I'm almost asleep when Natsu gets up and hovers over me.
"Wha- whats wrong?"
"You almost fell asleep."
"I'm sorry, I'm just tired." Natsu pins me down with his body and I can't seem to get free.
"Sorry wont cut it. I'm not letting you go."
"I promise I won't fall asleep again. Pleeeease let me go."
"Mm no."
"What can I do for you to let me go?"
"i thought you'd never ask.." he has this evil grin on his face and I'm really scared on whats he wants from me. "I want you to kiss me."
For a moment I had to process what he said. "What?"
"Kiss me, just once."
"Bu- we aren't dating.."
"Not yet we aren't"
"You're joking right?"
"No, I just want one kiss." Natsu released my hands from his grip and I quickly cover my face with them.
"I don't think I can."
"I'll wait then."
"With you sitting on me!?"
"Yuuuuup."
I gather whatever courage I have and sit up. I then surprise him with flipping each other over. Now I was on top of him.
"Hahahah getting cocky are we!?"
"Noooo.. because now I can leave!" Before i could get off, he quickly grabs my wrist and pinned me down again.
"Sorry that wont do. You promised that you'd give me a kiss to set you free."
"Ugh.. but you know i-.." i suddenly grew mad as he knows that I haven't kissed anyone at all in my life. That's why he wants a kiss from me. "You know I haven't kissed anyone!! You're taking advantage of me aren't you?!!!"
"Luce calm down. I'm not taking advantage of you.. I genuinely and seriously want to kiss you."
My nerves calm down when I look into Natsu's eyes, I gather my courage once more.
"Can I sit on top of you for it then?"
"As long as you don't run away again."
"I wont"
"Okay." He lets go of his grip and I sit on top of him once more. I take a breath to build more courage and I look at Natsu. I caress his cheek and start leaning in, Natsu pulls himself up and places his hand on my cheek. I feel his breath inch closer and closer to me. Soon I feel his lips on top of mine, my heart races and Natsu places his other hand on the other side of my cheek. The kiss deepens and my mind goes blank. I pull away, i look into Natsu's eyes and he gives me the sweetest smile I've ever seen.
Natsu plops back down on his back with his arms far apart and his sweet big smile is still on him.
"Was it okay?"
Natsu sits up on his elbows "It was the best I've ever had."
"Really?"
"Yes!! Why you doubting yourself!?"
"Because you know that was my first.."
"Shall I be your second as well?" I quickly cover my face because I know it went fully red. "okay okay, I'm joking.." Natsu grabs my hands and pulls them around his neck as he leans back and I lean forward. I rest my face on his chest and he starts speaking.
"Thank you."
"For what?"
"Being your first kiss."
"I don't think I'd do it with anyone else." He raises his head, so do I. We both smile at each other and I start to speak. "i mean it." Our hands play with each other hands, I give Natsu a kiss on the cheek.
"Oooooh how much that hurts..." Natsu whines
"What hurts?"
"You not kissing me on the lips.." I laugh at him and he pulls me in tighter. "Can you sleep here tonight?"
"It won't bother you?"
"No, not at all." I get off his stomach to lie next to his side. He opens his arm for me to enter and I happily snuggled in. In the background the movie is still playing and soon both Natsu and I fall asleep in each other warmth under the covers.
