The Capitol

I feel the guards yank me back away from the window.

I am pulled outside, where I run up to Riley. I pull her up to me, trying to figure out how to fix her. I am dragged back, screaming, onto a train, into a locked room.

I slump down on the bed.

The image of Riley keeps appearing in my head. How the ruthless whipper hadn't stopped until her back was raw. Maybe he was still whipping her even now. Her face when she had looked up at me before fainting. She had needed help. I could have helped her...

When I sit up, I realize I had fallen asleep.

I peer out the window, and the large mountains are gone. I am in the middle of a huge city... The Capitol towers over the train, large buildings, the occasional airplane.

I hear pounding on my door and yank it open. I am pinned on my bed by Shawn.

"Listen, Bella." he says through gritted teeth. "We need to win this, okay? You will die for me. I WILL DIE FOR YOU! STUPID FORCING!"

Then he slumps to the ground and I gasp. The peacekeeper is standing over him.

"Some forcing can make a lot happen." he whispered. "Welcome to the Capitol. Come, now."

He picks up Shawn's limp body and drags me out with him.

So this is the Capitol. I'm about to die for their entertainment.
