"I want to fly to Shanghai right now. Mom, can I go to Shanghai? It's not like I need school anyways."
"Jisung, I love that you are smitten with Chenle and I find it absolutely adorable, but you just started school. Just get through this semester then during those weeks of Christmas break, I'll get you a ticket to Shanghai. Does that sound good to you?" His mom said, folding up the last pieces of clothing in the laundry basket.
"But Christmas break is so far away." Jisung's shoulders slumped as he slid down onto the couch next to his mother.
"Patience yields focus."
"You've been watching too much Voltron mom. That didn't even make any sense."
"I'm telling you Adam deserved some kind of reunion with Shiro. To let him die like that," His mother sighed," made me want to throw the TV out of my bedroom window."
The male rolled his eyes at his mother's obsession with this animated series called Voltron. Yes, he watched the show from time to time but he wasn't like his mother. He guessed that since she was a stay at home mom, she'd had way too much time on her hands.
His father on the other hand had insisted that she just stay home and watch Jisung while he goes out and make money. Which he was, so they weren't worried much financially wise. The man had a stable job as a police officer, making enough money for the three of them.
"Mom, please! How about this weekend? We have a four day weekend due to some teacher work days, so please!" Jisung begged, now on his knees with his hands clasped together.
Hyewon let out a long sigh,"Fine, you can go—"
"YES, I LOVE YOU MOM! YOU'RE THE BEST!" The boy instantly gave him mother a big hug, making her tip over a bit.
"But, you have to pay for half of it." She continued.
"OK, DEAL!" Jisung was beyond excited. He only had two days until he'll be on his merry way to Shanghai.
"What is this deal you two are talking about?" A voice said and both of their expressions lit up.
"Dad! You're home early." The man chuckled as he took off his shoes at the door.
"My boss let me off early since I've been working overtime. So, how do you guys feel about family night and catching me up on this deal you made?" He suggested, plopping himself onto the couch next to his wife.
After that, Hyewon had put the folded up laundry to the side and sat back onto the couch with her son and husband. They decided to watch Boss Baby. It was a light and funny movie and they weren't really into the mood for some horror or action so, why not?
Jisung was cuddled up in between his parents, comfortably enjoying the movie and his parents' warmth. This was really a once in a while thing, so he chose to make the most out it. While being in between his parents though, all he think about was his upcoming trip to Shanghai.
