Lunch was in session when Yewon pulled Jaemin aside for a little talk.

She held him back after class, feeling that today was the day she would confess. The day she would finally get these feelings off her chest.

"What's up Yewon?" Jaemin was clueless to the female's intentions, thinking that she needed some tutoring or something of the sorts.

The tightening bundle of nerves in her stomach did not help at all with the situation, but she just pushed it all down just so she could talk properly.

"Jaemin."

"Yeah?"

"I can't believe I'm actually saying this but, I like you. I like you a lot, and I don't expect you to return my feelings at all. It's just I really needed to get this off my chest, I'm sorry if I wasted your time or anything like that."

Jaemin was surely shocked. He didn't expect a confession to come from the female in front of him, for the fact that they weren't really close and that their friendship had only started. But there she was, telling him that she liked him.

"I-I'm flattered, I really am, but I'm, I don't know how to put this lightly, but I'm already taken. Also, don't worry, you didn't waste any of my time Yewon." A sad smile was given to Yewon as she felt her heart just shatter.

But it was okay, because she was a strong girl, "May I ask who the lucky person is?"

"Remember those two guys yesterday that I dragged out of the crowd?"

"Yeah, I remember seeing them."

"They are responsible for stealing my heart." The look on Jaemin's face could only be described by one word, lovestruck.

Yewon could see how much the latter cared for the two boys. She pursed her lips to contain the tears that were already brimming her eyes. Those should be saved for a time where she is alone and was able to wallow in her sorrows without judgmental stares.

She took a big inhale of air, and readjusted herself, "I'm happy for you, I really am Jaemin. I thank you for letting me confess, and for not putting me down so harshly like everyone else I confessed to before."

Jaemin could see how much the girl was holding back, and it made him feel guilty. In his mind, he wished for her to find someone better than him. Someone that would take good care of her like how Renjun and Jeno take good care of him.

"Do you need a hug?" He offered, opening his arms for the female.

Yewon simply nodded and landed herself into Jaemin's embrace.

"I'm sorry for not being able to return your feelings, but I hope you do find your prince or princess charming out there soon."

"I hope so too, Jaemin. I hope so too."

"Yo, what did Yewon want?" Asked Donghyuck casually, seeing the pink haired boy sit himself down in the seat in front of him.

"Nothing much. Just some homework answers, things like that." Jaemin decided to save the female's pride, so he just lied.

He didn't want to girl to be all awkward with his friends as well.

"Cool." The elder responded while shoving some rice into his mouth.

"Hyung, you seem a bit down in the dumps today. What's wrong?" Jisung noticed how lackluster Donghyuck looked today. Well, he noticed it in the morning too, but he assumed it to be morning grogginess or something.

"Oh, nothing much. Just Mark leaving to go back to Canada two days from now." The two younger males could hear the bitterness in his voice, but who could blame him?

"Wait what? Mark's leaving in two days?" Jaemin asked, thinking that he didn't hear right the first time.

"That's what I said didn't I? You guys are so annoying, I swear." With that, the male stood up from his seat and stormed off, leaving his barely touched food on the table.

Jisung and Jaemin made eye contact, then glanced back at the once occupied seat. From the information they received, they guessed that Donghyuck was not taking Mark's future departure quite well.

Neither would they honestly. If their significant others had to leave so suddenly, they'd probably be in a shitty mood too.

"Let's just leave him be for now. He probably just needs some space to digest everything." Jaemin said, Jisung nodding along in agreement.

Donghyuck didn't want Mark to leave. Not so soon at least.

His departure just meant more questioning on when will the latter be coming back to him. He hated when things like this happens.

As a person who was already quite sensitive on the inside, this just made the pain ten times worse. Yes, they had FaceTime and everything, but it wasn't the same as having Mark physically here with him.

He didn't want to have those moments where he needs Mark or Mark needs him, but they won't be able to actually be there for physical comfort. All they could do was talk and imagine each other's warmth through a screen.

Donghyuck didn't blame Mark or his mom for this.

It was his dad that he blamed. Mark was the next heir of their rising company, and his father had requested him to come back immediately to return to training.

The man pissed Donghyuck off because it reminded him of his own father. He only cared about the outsider's view, the money, the image, nothing more. The man didn't care about his family's happiness, only how much his family is worth in dollar bills.

Donghyuck found himself sitting on one of the slides of the playground of his old primary school. He felt like a fool for feeling this way at something so natural in life.

He should be okay, but he wasn't.

"Stupid. Rich. Arrogant. Dickhead." Every insult resulted in a rock being thrown at a tree located across from him.

Letting out a final sigh, he laid his body back onto the slide. Closing his eyes and hoping that this was just a bad dream.
