Kirishima Eijiro (Criminal) x Reader

"The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them." - Ernest Hemingway

This was not expected to happen. Not at all, no. She wished she had known. If only she had noticed the lack of trust in his eyes. Then she wouldn't have found herself in this predicament.

She was being pushed inside the car by the police while their hands were cuffed. They headed for the jail as they drove there. (Y/N) kept quiet the entire trip because she felt betrayed and furious. She had not even realized she was about to be propelled into her own enclosed space. They intentionally caused her to fall down by pushing her inside.

"What a clumsy idiot." The officer scoffed, locking her cell and walked away. (Y/n) scowled and muttered to herself who the real bad guy was.

"That wasn't very manly of him," a voice remarked and (Y/N) snapped her head to the source of the voice. A man with red hair spikes was in the room next to hers. Their rooms were divided by bars, which (Y/N) knew were quite dangerous because they were made of steel that had been electroplated.

"Are you okay, miss?" He asked, looking over her.

(Y/N) didn't say anything and turned her head away. After all, her parents had taught her what was right.

"My name is Kirishima Eijiro. Thought you might want to know your neighbor's name. You'll be living here for quite a while, you know?"

There was no reply for him. And hence, there was silence for the next few minutes. (Y/N) was bored and wanted to leave the building immediately. But she wasn't having an easy time with life.

"It's funny how we see the world opposite of how they see it," Eijiro said, looking at the dark ceiling.

(Y/N) couldn't help but stare blankly at the boy.

"Civilians see us as horrible people who misused their quirk. What the media tells them, they believe. They don't even bother hesitating to think if it's true," he added, "People these days are very naive and dodgy. They don't know who the real baddies are."

(Y/N) deeply sighed and said, "I believe you had the same experience as mine."

Eijiro cracked a smile. "Ah, so she speaks."

(Y/N) grinned a little, enjoying herself more and feeling at ease with her companion.

"I'm sorry for ignoring you earlier. My name is (Y/N) (L/N). Nice to meet you, Kirishima."

"It's fine, (L/N). You can call me Eijiro."

"Then you might as well call me by my first name if that's the case."

"Deal."

The two prisoners entertained each other with jokes and funny comments during their lengthy conversation. You could never hear someone laughing or having a conversation in the cell. But (Y/N) and Eijiro had disproven them. As long as you were with the person you like and enjoy being with, it didn't matter where you were.
