Todoroki Shoto x Reader
"Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind." - William Shakespeare
Shoto Todoroki stood in front of the house where his girlfriend was living at the time. The doorbell echoed through his ears, the sound growing quite stressful and tempering his patience. He assumed that (Y/N) wouldn't be able to open the door for him after three attempts at ringing the doorbell.
"(Y/N)?" He called but as expected, only silence had answered him.
That was peculiar. By then, (Y/N)'s footsteps ought to be echoing down the stairway to the door. He would be greeted with a warm smile as she would yank open the door. It was different today. Shoto wondered why and he couldn't help but feel suspense forming in his stomach. Still hoping, he waited for her footmarks to be heard for a few minutes.
Yup, she definitely wouldn't open the door for him this time.
He opened the door without giving it a second thought and wasn't surprised to find it unlocked. (Y/N) had grown accustomed to living alone since her parents had to travel frequently. She would occasionally feel lonely, and Todoroki, being the observant boyfriend he was, decided to keep her company on weekends.
(Y/N) kept denying that she appreciated it despite knowing she did.
Todoroki ascended to the second floor to her bedroom. Standing before her door, he called out again, "(Y/N)? I know you're in there."
He heard a deafening silence, but he knew she was in her room, probably pretending to be asleep. He wasn't too surprised knowing (Y/N) was a very playful person.
Unfortunately for her, he knew her too well.
"(Y/N), I brought ice cream."
(Y/N) abruptly stood up on the other side of the door, her eyes glistening at the word. Get a grip on yourself, she commanded, shaking her head and slapping her cheeks.
I am too strong for a simple delicacy.
Shoto turned the doorknob after continuing to hear silence and heard a click. He discovered a lump beneath the (insert favorite color) sheets, and Todoroki couldn't help but smile.
"It's already eleven and you haven't eaten a single meal, " He stated as he stride closer to her figure, "Get up and eat."
She didn't respond. He pursed his lips, finding the silence upsetting and making him look like an idiot. As he looked down at his unyielding girlfriend, Todoroki's right eye twitched. He grabbed the sheet and yanked it violently away from her body.
(Y/N) complained and balled up, wanting to go back to sleep. Todoroki sighed heavily and sat down next to her.
"Wake up. You'll starve," he spoke.
She moved to the other side of the bed, being the adamant girl that she was, and avoided him.
"You have got to be kidding me," Todoroki thought, feeling his eye twitch again.
"(Y/N)," he called again, his voice low and demanding. Normally, anyone would flinch and almost immediately comply with his orders, but (Y/N) wasn't what you'd call just anyone. She was his girlfriend for a reason.
She cocked her head, sticking her tongue out to her boyfriend, who was staring at her with a look of disbelief.
"Come over here and make me," she challenged.
With the boy's lips stretched into a smirk, he spoke with amusement. "Fine then."
He filed towards her and slipped his strong arms under her body. She was quickly rising as she squeaked before she even realized it. To keep herself from falling, she flung her arms around Shoto's neck.
"Shoto! Put me down!" She yelled.
"You've put this upon yourself," He said, smirking at the face of his flustered lover.
With (Y/N) in his arms, he left the room. She was chewing over whether to squirm or not, knowing that shouldn't be careless or else she'd fall. The latter was still an option, but she doubted her reflexes were that impressive and she didn't want to end up getting a nasty bruise.
He carried her all the way to the kitchen and placed her on the chair. He sneaked a kiss on her cheek and even though she actually liked it, she grumbled under her breath about how her boyfriend should be accused of kidnapping.
"I brought breakfast for you," he said, pulling out a bento and opening the lid.
She was greeted by a smoking curry and a very pleasant aroma arising from the bento. Her mouth watered at the sight despite her effort to disprove it.
"Eat up."
"I-I'm not hungry!" She denied, turning her head away.
She is so persistent, Shoto sighed. He brought a chair over to her side and began feeding her. She looked at the spoon that was being held in front of her mouth incredulously. She looked at Shoto and said, "I am not a--"
Shoto pushed the food-filled spoon into her mouth and then abruptly pulled it out, breaking her train of thought. (Y/N) started eating her breakfast and immediately melted to the deliciousness.
"Do you like it?"
"I don't." Her face suggested otherwise.
"Then I guess I should just throw all of this away then," Shoto stood up, holding the bento in his hand.
In a split second, (Y/N) had her hands tight around his shirt, stopping him in his tracks.
"I was kidding! Geez, Shoto!" She stated, a nervous smile crawling in her lips.
Holding back a laugh, Shoto sat back to continue spoon feeding his girlfriend who had only felt the humiliation from his thoughtful gesture. She grabbed the spoon and silently ate the food by herself.
Although she found it hard to admit some things, Shoto didn't mind. It's what he liked about her anyways.
