Chapter 8 Everything Is Ruined

I woke up around 1 pm. I looked at my phone, 17 missed calls. Do I not have any privacy? Zack strolled in, with just a towel on. "Oh sorry. I didn't know you were up."

"Its OK. You should wear just a towel more often."

I jumped off his bed and walked up to him, putting my arms around his neck, I kissed him with much passion. That went on for a while until my phone went off AGAIN. I hit the ignore button and went back up to my boyfriend. I started putting my arms around him again when he stopped me.

"I really should go put some clothes on."

"You don't need to. Towels are so in right now. You can just tear them off with ease and they show off your six pack so well.", I giggled.

He gave in and we made out for what seemed like forever, and that's how I like it. He them got up and went to the bathroom to change. I walked in right as he slipped his shirt on. He still needed to put pants on, though. I snuck up behind him and yelled,"Hands where I can see them!"

"He turned around and said, "Whatever it is, I didn't do it!"

He laughed as he started putting his pants on. I also laughed and went up and out my arms around him, just hugging him. I breathed in his scent, he smelled so wonderful, almost perfect. He then looked at me,"When are you going to face your parents?"

"With my luck", I said walking over to his bed and sitting down,"never."

"You're going to have to talk to them sometime, Chloe. They are going to take you home and-"

"Maybe I won't go home. I can just take my stuff from our place and stay here with you. Who needs them?"

"You do! They are your family. You can't just leave them. You have to go back and set things straight."

"As long as you come with me."

"I don't think your dad wants anything to do with me right now."

"Who gives a shit? I don't care what he thinks. You're coming with me."

He sighed really loud,"Fine!", he pouted.

"So tell me exactly what happened last night."

"Well...You fell asleep on me so I just layer there with you in my arms. Then all of a sudden, there was a light flashing in my eyes, then I was being dragged from the beach to your house. The light was taken away from my face and I was guessing it was your dad. He seemed really pissed and I didn't know why. Then he just out of nowhere socked me in the nose. I fell to the ground and touched my nose and there was blood. Then he picked me up by my shirt collar and started yelling things like,'Stay away from my baby girl!' and 'Fucking stay away from her you son of a bitch!'. Then I felt a sharp pain in my eye and he picked me up again, still yelling in my face. That's when you came in."

"That son of a bitch! I can't believe him! He hasn't even met you yet, and he just decides to beat the hell out of you? That's so messed up!"

"I didn't even know what was going on so I ran. Sorry if I worried you."

"Its OK I would've done the same thing." I smiled at him.

"I know. Don't you think you should talk to them soon though?"

"Yeah, I guess. This is going to be an adventure into hell."

It's not that I'm nervous to talk to my parents, I'm scared they don't approve of Zack. I will not let my father hit Zack again. That's just unacceptable. We drove back to my place. When we got out of the car, I just stood there, staring at the house. I didn't ever want to go back in there, but I had to. I went up to the door, I didn't need to knock so I just pushed the door open. "Hello? Anybody home?" Silence. The whole house was empty. That's strange, the car is still in the driveway, where could they be? On the beach! I grabbed Zack's hand and started fast-walking to the beach. I looked around on the sand to see if I could find them, then I spotted them. With Maddy and her family. When is the last time I talked to her? I'll figure that out later. I stormed up to them. "Mother. Father...Hello! I'm talking to you!" Dad turned around and his smile faded very quickly.

"What the hell is he doing here? I thought I took care of him."

Zack looked hurt and I fumed up.

"I need to talk to you two at the house, RIGHT NOW!", I yelled. Some people stared, but I didn't care. I grabbed Zack's hand again and starting walking to the house, I could hear my parents trailing behind. We got in the house and that's when it all went down.

"Why the hell would you do something like that to Zack!"

"So Zack is the on of a bitch's name..."

"John, stop it!", my mom half yelled half whispered.

"Its no use mother, he doesn't listen to anyone!"

"I did that to protect you!"

"I didn't need and I don't need any protection from you! Zack is my boyfriend! He was just holding me so I wouldn't fall in the sand. I LOVE HIM!"

"What did you just say?"

"You heard me! I love him, and he loves me too!"

"I'd like to hear that from him!"

"Sir, with all do respect, I am in love with your daughter. She's amazing, beautiful, funny, kind...even perfect is a good way to describe her. I'm not going to hide my feelings for her. She is my soul mate. I never want to leave her side."

I looked Zack in the eyes and said,"Do you really mean all of that?"

"Of coarse. I wouldn't have said it if I didn't mean it."

I ran up to him and hugged him. I started crying into his shoulder and I whispered,"I love you so much!"

"I love you too Chloe."

"Enough with the love fest.", of course my dad says this. He still seemed a bit angry and I could tell.

"I really don't care if you like this relationship or not. Its my life and I can do whatever I want. I am practically eighteen. I can take care of myself. You don't need to hover over me all the time. I'm not a baby anymore. I'm pretty much an adult. If I want to date somebody, I will date them. Its not your problem."

"I just don't want to lose my baby girl!"

"I'm all grown up! Your just gonna have to deal with it."

"I just can't stand the fact that I'm going to have an empty nest."

"You got Brandon! You're fine."

He laughed and hugged me. Then I left with Zack. We just held hands the whole walk. I don't even know where we were going. We were just...walking. I like that. To me, it clears the mind. We went to the same ice cream place we met at and got a big banana split, we shared it. We held hands and smiled at each other the whole time we ate it. I love the feeling of being loved. It makes me feel like I'm special in some way. When we left, Zack started acting suspicious. "Why do you look so anxious?", I asked him

"Its a surprise."

"What'd you do?"

"Something!", he said that giggling.

We walked for what seemed like eternity, Then we came to a forest. "Why are we here?"

"I'll show you!"

Zack grabbed my arm and pulled me through the trees. Then he stopped. He looked at me and pulled away some vines, I stepped in and there was a beautiful water fall. Flowers everywhere! the waterfall went into a small pond. "Jump in!"

Zack pulled his shirt off and dove into the water. Luckily, I always have a swim suit on under my clothing so I pulled my shirt and shorts off and jumped in. Zack was laughing when I came up for air, then he started splashing me so I splashed back. We did playful stuff like that for a while. Then I started floating on my back, letting the water carry me. I looked at the clouds. Suddenly, I felt to hands go under me and pick me up our of the water. Zack was cradling me. He looked at me. I looked at him. We of coarse kissed a little bit. I had one hand on his neck, and one resting on his chest. His arms were holding me close to him. This was one of the best moments of my life.
