Chapter 15 Problems With The Past

Chloe's POV

Its nice here. Every time I think of something I need, like food, water, new clothing, and a place to sleep, it appears. I don't get any thing that isn't useful though. Like magazines or a phone or a lap top. I asked for a razor but I didn't get one...

I can feel things touch me now. Yesterday, I heard crying and I felt somebody holding my hand. My mom? Jamie? Or one of my other friends? Does Jacob even know about it? Is he here? I wish I could talk to him. Ever since he found out about Zack, we've grown distant. I hate the thought of losing him as my best friend. I hope he knows.

Sometimes, I get really afraid because I know I'm probably going to die. I don't want to die. I don't want to leave all my friends, family, and Zack. I wanted to die back then, but I don't now. I want to live my life with Zack. I love him. So much. Almost too much. I need to fight for my life, I don't know how I can, but I will. Have hope. You can make it. Your a stronger person than before.

Jamie's POV

My best friend is in a coma. My best friend that I've known since when I still crawled. I told Jacob, he never answered my text. Maybe he's coming? I hope so. I met Zack yesterday. He seems like he really cares about Chloe. I just can't believe this happened.

I woke up on my won cot, it was 6:30. Good thing we had all brought extra clothing and other supplies. I'm not leaving her until she wakes up. I got up and got a shower, I put my PJs back on because I might as well be comfy while I stay. When I came back in the room, Zack was laying beside Chloe. He was whispering something to her. I couldn't understand anything, I just stood in the doorway. He was stroking her face, I could hear him sobbing quietly. It made me want to cry. I went and sat down on my cot, I must have made enough noise for him to hear, because he looked up at me. He wiped the tears away and sat up. He looked at me and said, "I'm going to get a shower and eat breakfast. Be back in a bit." I nodded and he left the room. I didn't really sleep well. I'm still really tired. Maybe I'll just take a short nap...

Zack's POV

I went to the cafeteria and got some waffles. They were pretty good. I had just finished them when some guy walked up to me. "Hey." he said.

"Hi? Can I help you with something?"

"Uh...yeah. You know Chloe?"

"Yeah. Shes my girlfriend."

"Oh. Well we dated, we are still friends I guess and I heard the news..."

"You want to see her?"

"Can I?"

"Of coarse. I will take you to her room, but I gotta leave to get a shower." I walked him to the room. He stood in the doorway, looking at her. He looked scared to get close to her, like he was a ticking time bomb or something.

"Am I aloud to sit by her?"

"Of coarse. Hey I never got your name."

"Zeke." he said as he pulled a chair to her bed side. He looked at her with sorrow in his eyes.

"Well I'm gonna get a shower, be back in a bit." he nodded. I left him alone with her. It didn't seem right, but if they were friends, he wouldn't do anything. Right? I made Jamie keep an eye out. I still really needed to get a shower.

Chloe's POV

I heard Zeke's voice. Why would he be here? He almost killed me! What if he's here to take me away all for himself? Well, I really can't do anything since I'm stuck in here. I can't believe Zack just left me alone with him. I should have told him about how much of a jerk he was to me. He won't be long though, he was always protective of me. I hear his voice. "I'm so sorry about everything I ever did to you. I still love you, but I know your meant to be with Zack. I'm so sorry this happened to you. I would trade places with you, I hope you know that..." The rest was muffled, but I had heard enough. He really does care about me.

I could feel his hand in mine. I squeezed it back. Wait. Did I just hold his hand back? How did I do that?! I could feel him look up me. "Chlo?"

How can I communicate with him? I need to! And Zack! I need to wake up! Its been long enough. FIGHT! I think I started to move. I could feel it. "I need a doctor in here! Something is seriously wrong!" I heard Zack say. Oh no! What is happening to me? I heard many people come into the room. Then everything went completely black.

Zack's POV

Zeke came into the cafeteria, flipping out.

"Chloe started having a seizure or something! I don't know what happened. I was talking to her, and I held her hand, and she squeezed my hand back. Then she started seizuring!"

"Shit..." I started running to her room, but made a turn so I could go get her parents and friends. I explained what happened and they followed me. We couldn't go inside though, they said she was in critical condition. Damn it Chloe. You gotta fight this. You hear me? You gotta fight, for me.

I sat outside that door for hours, then a nurse came out and said it was okay to see her. She didn't say any other important things though, which I wish she did. I stood in the doorway and looked at her.

"Zack..."
