I was sitting in some diner eating a tuna melt, wondering what Autumn was doing with out me. How was she handling it? Was her party a party of two, her and her ice cream, or does it consist of many people and a punch bowl? Is this even affecting her?
How many girls have Zak kissed? Or worse, how many guys? No, Silver, don't go there. You know for a fact he isn't gay. You are just Paranoid. I checked my phone and still had 9 missed calls from him, 17 from Autumn and 6 from Dad who calls me every day. Not one from my Mom. I wonder if my voicemail is filled yet? Or does Iphones have unimited Voicemail space? Oh god, Silver.
You. Are. Driving. Yourself. INSANE! I hope no one can read minds here. That would be embarrassing if they heard me screaming at myself. No, I wouldn't be embarrassed. Oh god, I am arguing with myself. I need to talk to Autumn.
I paid and dashed to my car and grabbed some shorts and a tank, then going to the bathroom to change clothes. I dialed in there as I changed.
"Hello?" Autumn asked in a raspy voice.
"Did I wake you?" I asked looking at the time on my watch. I was 2 hours ahead and it was 10 here. I heard her alarm go off.
"I much rather prefer this wake up call. Lets FaceTime. Where are you?" I could hear the stress in her voice and felt bad.
"Boston. What a fun place to be at." I said sarcastically.
"Why are you there?"
"All the random turns ended me up here." I yawned. "It's difficult running away. Especially when you don't know what you are running from."
"Then you need some jesus in your life." Someone next to me said. Autumn was cracking up from that.
"HA! Thats funny. Last time I was at church, I thought I was human. I found out the next day, i'm a Demon." I put make up on.
"You're insane!" They both said.
"So I've been told. I just needed to hear your voice. Hows Zak?" I asked.
"Not sure, he has been running around my house in wolf form a lot lately." She sighed.
"I told him to keep an eye on you." I smiled sweetly.
"I miss that overprotective smile." She laughed.
"Awe, you're so sweet. How's my parents?" I said looking at the mirror instead of her.
"Your dad misses you, a lot. I go over everyday and I talk to him. Your moms acting as if nothing has happened." Autumn said slowly. "Just like you are a kid off to college, not a run away who killed someone to protect them."
I nodded. I missed my Dad so much. "And you."
"I miss you but what you said in that letter. I saw your view but honestly, Silver, do you really think I am that helpless? Well, I want you to know I have changed!"
"Autumn, I don't want to burst your bubble or anything, but it hasn't even been a whole week yet." I laughed.
"Yeah, well, I've been training." Autumn said in her stubborn tone.
"Training?" I'm not going to lie, it took a lot not to laugh.
"Yes, I have been learning how to fight. I'm going to your kick boxing classes, Zaks helping me everyday as much as he can and your Dads teaching me weapons." She sighed, "Silver, I want to be there with you."
"Look Autumn, this is better this way. If danger is here, I can run and not fight. It is better for me to be alone. They can't use you against me. I need to go. I love you, tell everyone I miss them."
