Chapter Five

●TW - Self Harm●
Ash's PoV

      "Wait so you are going back to your parents for a month?" I asked. Sera nodded and I sighed, "Well that's just great! Now it's gonna be me making sure John doesn't get killed for a month." Sera just laughs. 

      "It won't be that bad! I think... Just make sure he doesn't die and everything will be fine." Sera said with a smirk. I rolled my eyes and smiled. 

      "I'll do my best but he has a secret ability," I leaned in and lowered my voice. "He's able to get into a fight with anything he lays his eyes on." We both laugh and John groans. He's so done with my shit already. 

      We watched Seraphina drive off, back to her parents and head back into John's house. I flop face first onto the couch and put on Harry Potter and the Order Of The Phoenix. John lets out a groan as we see Draco and Harry in the same frame. ("SHIP IT!") Once we finished the movie I rolled off the couch onto the ground. I crawled on all fours over to my bed and pulled myself up into it. John laughs at me before getting up and heading over to his room. Smiling, I curl up in my small nest of blankets. I fall asleep rather quickly, but I'm dreading tomorrow. It's the first day without Seraphina helping me keep an eye on John. We don't have all the same classes together and I'm really worried he might do something incredibly stupid.

John's PoV

       I groan as we walked to school, wanting to just stay home and sleep. I looked over and noticed how out of it Ash was. I raised an eyebrow and poked her shoulder.

       "Hey you ok?" I ask and she snaps out of it. 

      "Hmmm? Oh yeah I'm fine, just lost in thought" She said with a small smile. 

      "Oh well, we're here" I say with a sigh, leading Ash into the depths of hell. As soon as we walk in I see news of Seraphina's suspension. I let out a low growl wondering how the news got out so quickly. Ash perks up at this, whenever I used to growl it meant someone was gonna get hurt. She realized what I was growling at and scowled. She levitates and wraps her arms around my shoulders having me drag her to our first class. We got a few looks but otherwise we were uninterrupted. Once we get to class she lands and falls back into her seat next to me. She fought someone for that spot, meaning she scared the shit out of them and they gave in. No one has been stupid enough to challenge her since Arlo. I lean back, finally being able to relax again. Ash is on high alert 24/7 always by my side. I had missed this when she left, but now she's back! She isn't used to me not using my ability, and she doesn't seem to like it. Usually I would let her take out anyone who looked at me to long, but she hasn't been able to lately. She itching for a reason to fight, but no one is stupid enough to give her a reason to attack. She huffs relaxing a bit as class starts.

       'She's gonna need to fight someone soon, she's getting impatient. She wants me to take the crown'

      I sigh quietly and soon enough, school is over. We got through with minor incident except for one guy who walked into me. He's in the infirmary but I'm sure he'll be fine... Probably.  The school is basically empty and Ash left me alone so she could use the bathroom, we planned to meet up at my house seeing as she had to go shopping for food. I sigh and pull out my phone opening my locker. I open messages and go to Ash.
