Chapter Seven

Arlo's PoV

      John hasn't been at school all week and honestly I'm extremely worried. Ash, little bitch, has been bringing all his work in for him. She claims that he's sick but I know he's not, he's never been absent because he was sick... I need to check on him. 

      'I'll get his address from Isen!'

      I quickly pull out my phone and text Isen

Arlo: Isen I need your help

Isen: what is it?

Arlo: Get me John's address

      I huff, he doesn't even ask why. He responds about five minutes latter with John's address no questions asked. He knows better than to question me. 

      'As soon as schools over I'm going over there.'

Ash's PoV

      I start walking to John's house. He's been feeling much better and is gonna be going to school on Monday. Soon we will rule the school again, with Brian. He's back to his old self I can tell, the John I knew is back. Maybe Brian coming back is what triggered it. Sadly our Ace is no longer with us and it makes me kinda upset to think about. I get there and head in. I see John on the couch on the new phone I bought him.

      "Oh hey Ash" he said looking up with a smile. I give him a closed eye smile and flop on the couch next to him. We talk for a bit and I hand him some ice cream. I need you to just imagine two teenagers binge eating their way through three pints of ice cream. Kinda disturbing I know but oh fucking well that's not my problem. I looked up confused as there's a knock on the door It's weird 'cause neither Brian or Sera knocks, they just walk in. Or break in, in Brian's case. I get up and open the door, and who do I see but the asshole Arlo himself. John looks up to see who it is. Not wanting to hear any of his bullshit. I slam the door in his face and lock it. I turn back around to John. He has this kind of broken look on his face that makes me wanna cry. I hate seeing him in pain like this. I go over and hug him then I kiss his cheek and turn on the tv wrapping us up in a blanket. He rests his head on my shoulder and a wrap an arm around him. I wasn't going to let anyone hurt him, not any more. I'm here to protect him. He needs me almost as much as I need him. 

Arlo's PoV

      I can safely say I didn't expect Ash to open the door. I also didn't expect her to slam it in my face.

      "Ow..." I mutter. Then I feel a pang in my heart. The look John had on his face when he saw me was heartbreaking. This isn't what I had wanted... not in the slightest.

      'Well maybe if I really loved him I wouldn't have put my reputation before his happiness.'

      'But I do love him!''

      'You made him cry, you called him a useless piece of shit. How much love does that show you idiot?'

      I sigh sadly, knowing this is true. I can't help but peak in the window. I let out a growl as I see her kiss his cheek, and I feel my eyes light up. I quickly walk away, deactivating my ability as I do. I thought about breaking the door down but Ash would probably fill me with knives. Besides I hurt John, he probably hates me now and I don't want to risk hurting him more.
